From what I'm understanding, they were both very into music when they were young. And because of it they bonded. They were supposed to be Guitar and Harmonica, which is what shows up on the weird "logo" he made. But then the brother got into farming more so than music, and Bau felt left behind/forgotten. And then he met whats-his-name, and I assume moved away to make a music career because he figured brother had given up on the shared dream.

As we see in the flashback, he saw the yellow guitar and I assume it became an inspiration for the logo (yellow guitar, yellow logo). The brother obviously bought it for him as a present but never got to give it to him for whatever reason.

Brother is angry both because Bau snuck into his room, and also probably because seeing that thing brought up lots of painful memories all at once. And have been miffed with him ever since he showed up cause I assume he felt like Bau abandoned him and ran off to start a music career alone.

Kinda just sounds like Vox is mad jealous cuz he thinks Jim's life is all sunshine and lolipops when chances are, he's basically a freak of nature.

Honestly, if I was Jim and I heard my supposed friends from work saying all of this shit, I'd be quite a bit hurt.
