It's derogatory except for when it isn't, the word started as a verb to begin with. Like I said, it's just a more recent version of moron and idiot which were also used as medical/derogatory terms but are now just insults. The new derogatory is people misusing "autistic", which is why I said it'd be worse if the other guy was more specific. "Retarded" is vague and not targeted at a specific mental disability, and is most commonly used as a general insult

I’m not here to convince anyone. Just sharing what the cards and my intuition picked up on the board’s current vibe: a lot of sharp rules and quick defenses, with only small pockets willing to sit with nuance.
Whether it sounds AI-generated or not, the pattern I described (strong boundaries + emotional reactivity when they’re challenged) seems to keep repeating in the threads.
No hard feelings either way. I’m just an observer floating through the cosmic stream.
If anyone wants to talk about why certain art gets shut down so fast, or what “coexistence” could actually look like here, I’m open to listening. Otherwise, carry on — the board’s rules are the board’s rules.

It's because Zourik never fully fleshes out his idea before he starts to draw and instead comes up with stuff on the fly, kinda like how the mightyena comic devolved into random onsen orgy (and random time gear aging up the son for a few pages) instead of actual dad son comic content.

To add to this, usually artists draw thumbnails for each page, well before they start doing lineart and stuff, so that they know how many pages it will take and roughly what happens, when and yeah, Zourik doesn't do this, he's always only roughly a page ahead (posts lineart of the next page, when he puts the finished pages online).
