People have to remember its up to them to convince us to support them, not the other way around. Its their responsibility to get their project out there and drum up hype/support and so far they have fumbled the first impression. If your going to ask people for money your suppose to do everything in your power to make that action appealing to the consumer, there should have been screen shots and an intro video all over the patreon so people knew immediately with no question what they were getting into what the product was going to look like and what to expect, the only reason I found out what the game looked like was because I decided to follow the sketchy off site link and download a gig of uncertain content.
The argument can be made that they were not ready to make the big push or dont have enough to show off but in that case they should have just kept it to their FA or whatever and done minor updates or crowd funding from there and shouldnt have made a full site and patreon since it wasnt ready and mostly just left blank, or even if they needed more money to get anything further done at least throw come concept art up or something, first impressions mean everything and like I said they fumbled theirs
