Wow, it's amazing how slow an I.P. lookup can take, even when it's on your own MySQL server.

Greetings.
My name is Dr.Harp, but most of the people calls me WareZ.
A year ago, me and my team started to design a new Operation System dedicated to preventing cyber attacks, and other stuff like DDoS, Brute Force attacks, Et Cetera ...
Sadly, my medical condition does not allow me to finish what I have started.
Due to my terminal brain cancer, I had to stop developing it.

But, I don't want my project to be forgotten. So if anyone have the right technical skills, money, and team for it

For those who aren't aware, there's kickass Android app for imageboard browsing/posting/watching/etc. called DashChan, and it seems that U18Chan support was added a few months ago.
If you like, you could give it a try:

Wouldn't that encourage phoneposters, though?

So....what's with all the hullabaloo with Windows 10? I know people groan and complain that Win10 is spyware and they do not like the fact that updates are automatically applied during certain hours where it might be inconvenience to the user.

Fortunately there are registry keys you can add to so Windows will prompt you when there are updates instead of installing and rebooting whenever the fuck it feels like it.

They changed the way the user interface looks and works. They also stopped labeling any UI buttons in favor of cryptic symbols like the 3 horizontal lines or the one with the 3 cirlces. I mean wtf does that button do? And it's windows so you can't get a different windowing system, like mint did to ubuntu. At least my schools not using vista anymore.

Yup: Windows is Windows, no matter what version it is. People should just try FreeBSD or GNU/Linux.

I'm using the default regex library that comes with g++, -std=c++2011 or -std=c++2014

basically, I'm trying to scrape a large amount of text off of a webpage, but the program fails when the size of the match reaches around 13kb.

I think I'm gonna try the boost::regex library...

This one?
At the moment I'm on Windows and can't look into it, but until then, you should definitely send a bug report to the relevant GNU mailing list. Unreported things are unfixed things.
It may also depend on your operating system too: for example, OpenBSD uses GCC but doesn't use GNU's regex. So doublecheck which exact regex you're using, and bug report.
Good luck!
grep(1) probably doesn't fail at 13 kb, so perhaps test a grep that works in the situation you'd like it to with an equivalent large text file, examine the source code of the grep program, and see how a working grep handles that much text.

I found an existing bug report for the same problem someone else had posted back in 2015, and the answer was basically 'DON'T USE <regex>, IT'S BROKEN!'

So, I went with boost-regex, and haven't looked back since.

I see. I'm glad boost works for you, if GNU (as often) can't fix problems. They didn't fix the problem I reported to them about GNU Scheme either.

I found the thread watcher, might as well post it. I don't have the source code, but this is the version that can rip u18chan threads as well. Enjoy.
Tested it, still works. I don't know if Leonfox will change the page or not in structure in the future, but I really hope not.
