Hi, I made a mediocre flash game and I thought u18 was an okay place to post it. It's gay pokemon erotica with a little bit of interaction (but not a dating sim).

I like to write fanfictions so I made this text-based game coupled with a brick breaker since I wanted to learn how to make flash games (in 2018 yes I know). I am a total beginner so please be aware that it's not as high in quality as the rest of things on here.

The game is in alpha: It has its core gameplay and a few texts. It lacks a decent user interface and artistic talent. Future developments could include more texts & more pokemons but are not probable because I lack the knowledge to refine everything else (the gameplay, the graphics and the interface).

Anyway, I enjoyed making it so I hope at least a few people will also have fun.

First of all thanks for creating this game. I enjoyed playing it although there is some room for improvement. Since I'm not sure who much feedback or advice you would like (considering it's an alpha) you can ignore the folowing text if you like.

During my playthrough I found 2 Bugs connectted to collisions between the ball and objects. The first one causes the ball to be stuck in the levelboundary. You could try to set the speedvalue to the positive or negative absolute of the value depending on where the collision occured.
The other bug I found occurs when the ball hits two blocks at once. Then the ball goes right trough without being refelcted. I think using absolute values might solve this problem too.

The texts where written nicely although the openers to the sexscenes are quite short which works in some cases (the cook) and seems unrealistic in others.
If you plan on extending the content of the game you might reconsider the speed at which the player is able to unlock new abilitys. That could be done by splitting the current quests up in multiple parts where you learn to know the crew with each part completed. Also a discription of the characters aperance would be nice.

Thanks a lot for the feedback; I'm absolutely interested by it.

I had noticed those weird collision bugs but let them trough because I rapidly understood that it would take me a huge amount of work for what I felt would be a small return. But I'll try again, eventually there's always a breakthrough where you realise that you've missed an easy fix. If you want more details they're not exactly bugs, it's just that I'm using simple beginner-friendly collision detection methods that are not complex enough to deal with those edge cases.

Now for the texts, I think it's a matter of personal taste because I've always disliked dating sims where you had to talk for dozens of scenes before the interesting part ;-) That's probably not going to change; I would prefer to add a quantity of different scenes over lengthy ones.

This also affects the pace of the game, which I should have warned is extremely short. I could lengthen everything by locking abilities behind more gates, but it would force the player to play my shitty brick breaker for a longer time! So if at some point I feel confident in that content (Better 'graphics', more levels, fixed bugs), I would do that yes.

And finally, oh man it's true that I completely forgot character descriptions! I'm so used to how they look I didn't thought about that, good point.

Also, I just discovered a massive problem: It seems that the brick breaker game is way slower that it's supposed to be when using Firefox as a browser. I've tested Edge and Internet Explorer and it's normal using them. Chrome untested. More work I guess!
