You can import things pretty freely into the game, export too. Unless you mean Yiffalicious 1, in which case, no - that game isn't getting updated. They're just going to do animating the characters from the ground up in the new one. YL2 is still only good for making OC's.

IMO the biggest threat to a project like this is feature creep - trying to be something to everyone, rather than everything to someone. Look at Rack 2, which is busily (?) trying to develop a reasonably featured character generator and literally every fetish at the same time. It isn't hard to imagine the sheer scope is so overwhelming its just shutting down the project.

Like, I get you just want to make the furries fuck, and that's understandable, we all want to see furries fuck. But that clearly isn't what really interests the devs, and pursuing what they want to do while being very honest about it is probably the best way to keep the project healthy while keeping backers happy. They're very honest that they're being perfectionists with the character generation systems they're developing, and that animation and all that will come ?????

There's a difference between "I am sad this is not really the same as the previous thing they did" and "the devs are stupid and motivated exclusively by greed and are producing nothing that anyone would find interesting."

If you think all the models produced by the thing are ugly...well, that's fair. I don't really agree (although i do think they're closer to cute than sexy), but that's all subjective.

The models are designed that way to be performance friendly (especially under simulations) while being easy to customize.

I'm not the biggest fan of the more cartoonish redesign of the characters in this game. I kinda liked the weird semi-realistic yet still cartoony look they had in the first game, but I'm glad that we'll be able to just download other peoples creations & edit to our liking. There'll probably be plenty of characters made with less of an emphasis on a cutesy cartoony look.

I wish the character creator wasn't so clunky to figure out though. I want them to just get on with the main focus of the game, the custom animations part, but I hope they make the creator UI less confusing & more streamlined.

It has nothing to do with the Scope or scale of their work. you yourself are even making a point about delivering on promises and followers. That whole point is exactly why this dev team is absolute shit. I've been following Yiffalicious since day ONE. For the original game the NUMBER one requested feature was customizable characters, (or just new models that weren't Morbidly obese)

That Request from their fan base didn't say "Please drop this project and Spend the next 5 years Completely changing your art direction and focusing solely on a model viewer with No VR support and zero sex scenes. Oh and make sure you spend 2 years of that development time JUST MAKING NIPPLES"

These people are liars and cheats who profit off of the people above who will ignore all the evidence and pin their hopes on this project at the HOPE that it will one day yield some type of result. All the while they'll slander anyone else like me for pointing out this whole project has gone way the fuck off course and they stabbed thousands of their original Patrons in the back. Oh but THATS fine because I can't write code, or make 3D models. I'm not allowed to point out wrong doing con-artists that are Milking this project for everything it's worth.

I dunno man, I feel like they'd have a lot less Patreon backers if people weren't enjoying the character creator & weren't at least content with the direction & progress of the game. Sure, everyone wants it to be on par or better with the features from the first game, but that shit takes time even if you feel they're purposefully milking it to grift as much money as possible. I don't like the idea of constantly paying for a game who's updates are too slow/small to be meaningful to me & it doesn't even have the most important parts that its predecessor had, that's why I don't support the Patreon. I'd support it if it was a one time Early-Access purchase, not a subscription. I get the hate against this kind of furry welfare money but even if they are milking it, the people paying them seem to be happy, so why would they make any major changes when they can keep at the pace they are now? Best we can do is just forget about the game & come back if more substantial progress is made.

Yeah, the custom offsets are pretty cool seeing as they allow you to change pretty much anything about a characters shape, so long as you know how to use Blender. I found the default options for character shape lacking, so this fixes that issue. I'm glad it can be used to make sliders for inflation/transformation that can be used during pose mode too.

I worry how they'll be able to implement the actual sex interactions with stuff like this though. Will we have to account for parts not lining up if we change things too much with custom offsets? I hope they can figure it out without too much jank. I'd hate for using this program to be hours of tweaking everything just to get it to look semi-decent. But at least they're (hopefully) finally making progress!

With the custom offsets system they added, I imagine things like this will be usable with their animation system. You can set custom shapes like these to sliders you can alter on the fly, so hopefully you'll be able to have the slider be affected by penetration or something. I'm sure they'll figure out the best solution for everyone.... eventually.

To be fair, the reason Yiffalicious is trying to ""distance"" itself from the porn side of things is because they got in trouble with Paypal or Patreon or something, back when they went psycho and were labeling furry porn as "bestiality" and hypno porn as "rape" and whatever.
FurryVNE is making an editor that basically lets you do whatever you want, and if you choose to make lewd things with it, well, it's out of their hands *winkwinknudgenudgewinkwinkwink*
(Though they're also downplaying the game's lewd capabilities so people can choose to use it for non-lewd purposes in the future, rather than downloading a game called "Yiffalicious 2" to make SFW OCs.)

Anyway, there's actually a build with animations in a small mount of users hands for bug testing, so it's definitely a lot further along than it's ever been.
