Hello people! do you remember this old game here called Starbound? I bought the game these days and fell in love with the quality it has, I recommend everyone to play it! another thing that I also liked a lot about the game was the mods that it allows to put in the game, there are many mods for it both SFW and NSFW.

About the mods there are some places where you can get it from Steam itself to the official mods site as for those that are NSFW I recommend using the LoversLab where there are several mod creators there, you can also get some mods furry there. the over promised and under delivered basically. There was a lot of cool things they wanted to do but then watered it down to rush it to be completed and gave us probably the shittiest story progression which is just mindlessly planet hopping until you find the race you're looking for and hope they have the furniture you need to inspect just so you can do a pointless boss fight. It's definitely more of a 5 dollar game, at the very least should have gotten post launch updates, real disappointing.

Yeah, literally the only good parts of the game are those prebuilt story sections where you warp to some location to find the next person to join the team, but even then the boss fights were pretty "meh".
The first thing I ever do when reinstalling Starbound is to add a mod that reduces/eliminates the scanning requirements to unlock them.

I don't think so, because on that moment all mods that i'm installed has been up to date.
I think i found problem: Starbound mods are very attached to the specified game version (like the sims), and cannot work on older/earlier versions. My starbound wasn't updated a long time ago, and after updating the game (i have steam version) and reinstalling mods, correcting them for my game version, all beign alright. Maybe someone else helps that info.

Can anyone clear my doubt? I found this gif in Rule34 of a horse I think and in this gif it looks like it might be some mod per game or maybe it's just an animation. What could it be?

Artist is Blargsnarf, they've done like a hundred Starbound animations, all of which are unrelated to any modding projects, they're just straight up pixel animals.

theres someone on twitter who has been working on mods for feral pokemon and theres a mod that has some content with some of the unique monsters in starbound that arent randomized. If you've got a loverslab account you'll be looking for the Teratophilia mod.

I would like to ask a question that I haven't understood for a while, why do people seem to hate Chucklefish so much? they love Starbound but hate it when it comes to the game's developer company, what did this company do to get so much hate? Okay, I know there was that case of the furry species the Avali at its peak of popularity that initially the creator wanted Chucklefish to put as a playable character and they put it if they only had the intellectual right under that character (I recommend seeing more about this one case) but it seems to me that there is more to it than that..

I uh, don't think it has anything at all to do with the Avali on why the developer company gets so much hate. In fact, Ryu wanted to massively revamp the entire Avalon societal structure and military structure and whatnot before he went back to the mod for any reason whatsoever and he just kinda, I dunno, vanished because of IRL obligations. He actually hated his original idea of them being uber militaristic and xenophobic.

No, the fact of the matter is, Chucklefish overpromised and wildly under-delivered for years.

The alpha into beta and all of early access had like, hundreds of promises on types of content and things that would happen. You know what we got?

Maybe like, one of the things promised. *Maybe.*

One of the things that massively killed the Starbound community was the release from Early Access into the official 1.0 release, where they cut OVER HALF of what was in the previous EA build, gutting practically the whole game and then released it in that state with nothing but excuses--and worse, no excuse in some cases--on why it had to be done that way.

The reason it got pulled out of EA is because they were quite literally about to hit that mark of how long a game can be in early access on steam before Valve cracks down on you as a developer. Something like 5 years I think.

But after that debacle, they then went radio silent. Slowly trickled out a few different things, but ultimately, the game never really got any content updates since then and still hasn't. The few updates it did get added in a BIT of the early access content again (like mechs) but overall that was in. We've gotten nothing since 1.4 and it's been years.

This was also after all of their promises that "the next EA update won't break mods" which then proceeded to do just that, which left mod makers so incredibly frustrated to the point that most of them left their mods broken and unupdated for the longest of times. Some of the better ones are still abandonware.

Still, the only reason Starbound continues to live on at the moment is because of the incredibly still dedicated modding fanbase that continues to shine through the muck, like all of Bethesda's games.

I could probably go on an entire ranting binge about this but I'd rather not make an even more massive wall of text on a furry porn imageboard.

But if you really wanna dig into it more, there are plenty of posts on the Starbound subreddit that explain the problems very in-depth.

From what I saw, you need to be in the world where the pregnant woman is after S.A.I.L. will tell you that someone got pregnant and gave birth...but I thought it was kind of bad, before I thought that when that day came, some kind of cub would appear or something like that, was excited but LITERALLY born as an adult, it makes no sense but it's kind of honestly expected.

first of all, thank you very much, really thank you for sharing I'm very happy to see this project up close and I was happy with what I saw, even though it's still in development until it's interesting to see what's still available.... thing that I was a little disappointed is that the pokes among other monsters are actually objects and not NPCs or monsters/animals, it seems that they behave like monsters but from what I noticed they are just strange objects, I didn't understand very well, I wanted them to move like pets, but otherwise I'm happy to see it.

It took me a minute to figure it out too. Check your basic crafting menu as in not using any other crafting tables and you'll see the one you need to make in there. I forget it's name off the top of my head but you'll know it when you see it. Oh, and also make sure you have Sexbound and that POV mod as well.
