Personally I think when you set up the premise of a game such as this, it's harder to believe that the main character would willingly initiate lewdness. I at least like the idea that if it happens too many times you can initiate but that locks you into the "bad" ending.

Which is why I like games that encourage both. People shit on Oh So Hero! But at least that game has multiple ways to see lewdness.

Unfortunately, with an exception of a few others, that's it. The games where a dom guy breeding everything around him is even less than a futa content games(I meant only for M/M part, atrocious 3dCG games should burn in hell for their repetitious nature). So the game like Small on Top is at least alive and kicking considering a lack of such genre compared to sub bitch games and how many renpy games died from a lack of creative spark and money problems.

Sadly it's the core and the problem of every furry game developer. They need money, with a hidden agenda or not. People have always paid each month for an update on an unfinished product. And the vast majority of those furry nsfw games are never being finished. But it's the only way to earn them money. Being it a simple greed or a way to have an additional motivation to continue, or a way to pay some bills. None can guarantee that this or that artist won't disappear next month. Supporters just want to see the content early or they like it so much they just want to support artists or get an access to the hidden behind paywall pictures which is a hideous practice. And even after that you can't judge all of them the same way since some are more generous than others.

Just look at the normies gamers side: boss-shitheads in the game industy are increasing prices for games just so some more gullible ones pay them 100 bucks for a cut content or for an opportunity to start to play their lovely bugged games 3-6 days earlier then the rest of the poor and unworthy 70 bucks paying bums. And people don't really have a choice, either don't play or pay (You can thank Denuvo for that, AAA companies are wasting their money on that so pirates who will never pay, will never pay). It is even worse if it's an online only game that you have to pay for and then you have to pay again for microtransactions with battlepasses and skins that you can't obtain in the game. That's just business for them, they don't give a fuck unless people stop paying them, which somebody else will always do.

So yeah, it not this artist's fault or his supporters, it's the whole supply and demand process that has been rotten for years. And there is nothing that can be done, especially for such a niche content for furries, because money and expectations rule here.

Not every furry game dev paywalls their content. Plenty of content on Itch.io have their full game out there and free to download (though you should pay for the ones that you believe are worth it to support them). As for porn game devs, those are few and far between, but some like Regal Buster, who made Grove, has not paywalled their content. Or the guy who made Debtors. The flipside is that those projects have a slower update process, but usually have more content in those updates.

And those are still the minor part of the overall picture, most are hidden behind a paywall for a month or two. Some are released for free "when it's done' like this one after beta state. Some are unavailable to the public, because it's a demo and they promised the full one will be free.

Still, neither Debtors or Grove are complete and both have a donation box of a sort. Some may find it strange to donate to unfinished projects or even donate to a free one.

I know myself a few furry games on itch.io like Echo games or the one with scroll shooter rhythm mice that can be considered as "a full game experience" but there are far more of those that are updated several times and then they are simply gone. So those complete ones are more of the exception to the rule as of right now.

I take my words back considering this artist, he said the second chapter, that is in the beta state now, will be paid/purchase-only. Do whatever you best can do people, considering he asks money for a ONE chapter instead of a whole product, I won't defend him again.

It's the best way to sell an episodic thing imo, if you're giving it out when an entire episode is fully done, making the first free then paying for later ones is just the right way to do it and also have your work get paid. Strange, nothing like this happened to me. What is in the error you are getting? If it says what bgm file is missing try to use another bgm file but name it as the same as in the error.

I haven't really finished playing the game, but if your game is crashing because it's not finding a file and you don't actually care about the music, I suggest just grab another random bgm file, rename and place it wherever the game is trying to look for it (it should give you the path and filename in an error message during playtime.)

Yeah it's weird, every other piece of music it was able to find but this one is "gone" for it.
But it /is/ in the directory with everything else.
Happens on both routes, obviously, and just changing the name doesn't seem to do anything.

Someone else mentioned it in his bug report thread already but he just sorta ignored it unless it happens to more people. Something about how unzipping the file can cause things to act weird?

Yeah, it's probably your unzipping program, it's corrupting names, it should look like this:
Introduction (Muffled) - FlashBeat - (UndergroundClub Theme).ogg
Those % are the problem. I use 7-zip myself without any problems. Also if you from an asian country, try to change your locale to some europe country before unzipping.

That actually IS how it is found in the files, the game for some reason reads it out like that.
Nothing appears to be wrong with the file itself.

For the person that submitted the bug, it apparently happened to them in the hotel near the beginning of the game. So I guess I'm lucky to only miss the last bit...

-Secret hamburger in Haven now actually gives you a hamburger.
-Fixed typo in lore computer entry.
-In fight with two Strikers, defeating one while it's wound-up shouldn't freeze the other now.
-Player can no longer interact with anklet Kitsune while running from hyenas, which caused various bugs.
-"Should I fight him" scene no longer triggered outside Mahir's if player has fought him and obtained charm.
-Added a patch plugin to address a weird render glitch effecting systems with powerful graphics cards and high-refresh-rate monitors.
-The fridge in the Abandoned Bar can no longer be moved while standing beside it, only below, avoiding troublesome collision and movement issues.
-Dazzle Blast is now gated from the final boss fight, and will be...artfully removed before the player reaches it.
-When Mezz is captured while sneaking in Entertainment District I and stripped after scene, the scripting now removes, and gives back, the bunny suit as well.
-Fixed "Beg", "Flatter" and "Serve" skills sticking around if Mezz loses battle with certain timing. Will keep an eye out for other stray skills and statuses not being reset correctly.

Hearing the new version is out got me messing around with the previous version while I wait for it to arrive here, and I discovered something that I was curious if anyone else noticed.

Mahir is a pain to fight because sometimes when he winds up, he immediately attacks the next round, but sometimes he follows it up by dazing you, so you can't block the onslaught. I just noticed that the icon that appears above his head is a different color depending on which kind of windup he prepared, if the eyes and mouth are white on that icon, block and he'll do nothing, if they're a dark red instead, you can just take a normal swing at him, and even if you miss it, he'll just do a double swipe instead. Makes the fight so much easier.

I'm kinda confused how the endings work in the second game.

I went through it just playing normally but lost a few times (got the scenes with him holding up the "cheap sluts" sign twice) but didn't lose a third time so he didn't turn into a full slut yet (still won't remove clothes in inventory, etc) got all the way to the last boss area and the game forces me to be a slut to win the combat fights? idk? also I have no idea how to seduce the last guy I try the teasing options but sometimes they work sometimes he just fucks me over.

I reloaded an earlier save and went full slut this time by dying 3 times on purpose and ran around naked, at some point it skipped me to the last boss and everything seemed like the same as earlier? no difference?

I'm gonna try again but this time as 100% pure with no deaths in battle but I'm unsure how these endings all work?

The new version that came out last week on Subscribestar has a new version of the final fight for if you're a slut. All previous versions just have the same fight regardless of what route you took to get there.

I assume the "Forced to be a slut" comment means you keep losing the final boss fight. Did you get the Hyena Cologne in Mahir's place? Using it prevents the final boss from seducing you for six turns, so winning the fight is actually feasible.

I was so disappointed in the last version when I realized the Lucky Charm wasn't some sort of trap. So glad this version fixed it. Also, poor Scratch for not only finding Mezz in that predicament but getting caught only seconds later and supposedly also getting his mind tinkered with too.

If you're talking about the scene I think you're talking about, there's a few steps you gotta do.

1)When offered the chance to fight Mehir, take it, so you can win the "Good Luck Charm" from him.
2)While you're in Entertainment District 1 wear the charm and get into at least one fight with it equipped. I haven't tested if you need to win with it on or if you can lose with it, but I know any fights in Entertainment District 3 and Kahzeem's Penthouse do not count towards meet this requirement.
3)Complete the game via whatever route you want. You'll get the scene as Mezz is leaving the gutter just before the credits.

Fixed it, the fix is actually so simple it's stupid.
You have to move the folder up. The farther into a folder tree it is the more likely it will cut off a music file at some point I guess. Maybe some limitation in RPGmaker on name length? (which includes the entire directory tree in its name)
Putting the game folder on the desktop instantly stopped the errors, and removing the useless folders afterward let me put it back where it was while maintaining the fix.

I do love the game but this guy wants people who want unpunished access to this game to pay about $40 to get just one of these Chapters with all updates. It is simply not worth that. Doesnt help that if you look the first time he presented his pay or delay plan on Itch a few people got upset and his response seemed to be "dont care, pay or delay" so I dont imagine he change it either.

If you want to say the game is good, I'd agree. If you want to say the game is underselling itself at $10 on Itch, I agree. But the game is not that long, and not that detailed, a lot of it is "getting through long paths with repeat identical enemy encounters" in maps made of existing assets. The amount of unique images or events in the base game are not that high at all.

Each episode is maybe 1 or 1.5 hours on it's own, and each of his small updates to it maybe adds 0.5 hours each. As he has said, he intends to delay all updates to the game for non-Patreons, so he is choosing to withhold content unless you effectively pay more. Much like EA trying to pretend "early access" isn't just nickle and diming. So to actually get the game and updates without strings, it's $40 minimum ($10 to get access to his game-tier Patreon each time he updates it, before having to then unregister too, which is another tactic of trying to get people to sign up and hope they forget to sign back out). And the game is not worth $40 even with the listed updates, maybe $20 max.>>2369497

Patreon and it's spin off clones were a literal mistake and I will never take back that opinion.

The concept of supporting someone monthly sounds cool and all (and really there's nothing wrong with supporting stuff you like) but the issue is it's easily exploitable and ENCOURAGES slower work. Why finish a game to completion and sell it for 30 bucks, 40 bucks, whatever, when you can drip feed "dev log" updates and occasional 0.05 patch beta update for x amount of months and make hundreds off unfinished products while still getting paid.

This part exactly. I used to be a big Patreon supporter, had about 9 artists on the go at any given time but adding new and removing others over several years. I've since stopped after a few years because, after maybe a total of 30 different artists, and almost all of them entered one of four "Patreon artist death loops":

1: Made a long project like a comic or game, and starts well, BUT then the whole thing starts changing and becoming worse or less exciting with each update. For example if there is a comic on..... heroes being turned into submissive villain-slaves. Starts off with long lead-ins to watch the hero be "strong but with a weakness", then a long capture and conversion, lots of kinky stuff, etc. Then, pages give way to just "generic sex, no more mind control or corruption" and writing gets really boring and just "yes master, I am yours master" over and over. In short, the artist seems to run out of interesting stuff relating to their project but doesn't just end it.

2: They elongate the project to oblivion, taking something that clearly was starting at a decent pace but then deciding to release updates less frequently, or do less with each update, or add updates that don't really add new content at all just "fixes" that should frankly be done as part of something in the background and not an update on their own. Clear attempts to make the project drag on to bleed out more money.

3: Price hikes and unjustified valuation of their products. I can say about 1/3 of Patreon artists will reach some point where, despite having gotten more and more subs each month, and being able to live more and more off their work, some of them never have enough. And without any actual improvement to the quantity or quality of output, they either jack up the price of tiers to access things, or they split up there work so now certain updates or themes (like maybe an artists who used to post images and animations in a single tier will now make a new and more expensive "animation" tier and your current tier now loses lots of it's former value). And don't worry, if you complain about it, then it is YOU who are at fault and just greedy and frankly the artists deserves SO much more but they are just so benevolent and generous.

4: Artist becomes erratic with updates, often just having breakdowns or taking "holidays" every few months that they don't close their payments for. Often with lots of teary-eyed excuses of "*cries* Guys, my mom's cat died, I am SO SAD, I don't think I can work for now..... or the next two weeks. So I am sorry but I can't update. I won't be turning off payments though, if you are a heartless b#st#rd you can unsub I guess *cried*" type comments more and more often. Usually only said at last minute, and with a sense of entitlement to take as much time as they need

That last one is kind of a stretch that lacks empathy. If the person constantly does that I could agree with you, but I know several very hard-working artists who have taken like one break in 3 years because a family member died or something, and haven't personally witnessed anyone abusing that type of excuse. More often than not, artists just go ghost and post nothing with no explanation, which is debatably worse. When it comes to those reasons though, shit happens sometimes, and most regular jobs have paid leave for bereavement and shit like that.
