So, I think some of you might want to have an explanation for that sudden, more darker (real) ending, called the epilogue of Hello Bunnyburrow- "Hello Paradise".

At first: Even though I won't apologize for that sudden turn of events I'm still sorry if some of you might be upset by this ending. I'm more so surprised that the general feedback was mainly positive or at least neutral!

When I started this comic in mid april the whole Zootopia universe with all of its extra content, like the alternative collar plot, was unknown to me. After time I kinda sucked all that stuff in, finding new possibilities of storylines I'd love to tell.

Long story short - back then I made plans for a Zootopia (city) with elements of the original story and parts of Zistopia. Still I didn't want to change the tone of the still going HBB series, and after all I didn't have to - because collars are within city limits in this storyline. And I think there are a lot of reasons to make this (within of fantasy worlds like this) plausible. Also I think there are a lot of plausible reasons that the "collared" citizens arranged to still live there, even being happy! Me myself living in a similar situation (without a physical collar of course, lol) makes me think that this may be quite possible, at least.

The reason why I've never hinted anything towards that ending was simple: You aren't dumb, if I would have left any hints you guys would have known what's going on pretty fast. And if not - there would have been questions about these hints unanswered for at least 20 strips, which would be quite annoying for most of you and most likely even for me.

To answer some basic questions in advance: Bellwether happend and was arrested - a new mayor followed later on, collars have been there way before Bellwethers tenure(with more regulations than only pred/prey), Nick in fact became a cop after helping Judy to solve the night howler case as the con artist he used to be.
More specific questions like how Nick could become a "collared cop" do have reasons, but will be explained as soon as a potential sequel will happen. I've thought a lot about the setting and I think I found a fair compromise for all of this.

I'm really thrilled to do this, but I'd have to rethink how to display the comic's look I'm afraid - in other words: a lot more work. So I won't start a follow up comic to HBB immediately, but I think I'll do some concept arts over time of prominent characters within this world that are unknown yet or kinda half-new to readers.

I'm afraid I could go on forever with this topic, but I think that will do, for now.

Besides - I'll have to answer all that other comments now, a lot of writing - but I'll try!
