In March, instead of the usual Patreon sketch suggestions and vote, I came up with a small project, so to say. I made a little sketch series with Zaphira's sisters, and then this picture. I don't know what brought me to play around with the idea that Zaphira has sisters, but I played around so long that I actually decided that Zaphira should have as many sisters as many zodiac signs there are, so they can have a little mark too, just like Zaphira and Shen. And here they are, all of Zaphira's sisters, each one representing a zodiac sign. So let me introduce them one-by one :)
Top left, sitting on her sister, who's a tiny bit bigger than her both in width and length:
Lavender - Sagittarius
I'm sure you can already see how huge of a bookworm she is :D She's curious, always yearns for new knowledge and discoveries. A real scholar for sure. But unlike hers sister, Ivy, she never looks down on others who are less intelligent than her. Instead she gets very enthusiastic, and tries to teach them new things about the world :)
Top left, the big one, enjoying a few plates of delicious food:
Jade - Taurus
She is full of love and care, and she just adores peace, nature, animals, and food :D Basically she's full of love. And food…
Middle left, the one choking of laughter:
Emery - Aquarius
She's carefree and mischievous, and has no problem making a joke out of absolutely everything :D Why is she like that? Who knows? Maybe she just wants to hide her insecurities. But even though most of the time she has this devil may care attitude, when things get serious, you can definitely count on her support :)
Bottom left, waving with malicious intent:
Violet - Aries
Her personality is kinda lusty and passionate, so everyone should be careful around her :D
Middle left, unimpressed by the offered food:
Ivy - Virgo
She has kind of a cocky personality, she's a bit full of herself, and looks down on everyone less intelligent than her. But when you get to know her, and she let's you closer to her, you'll see she's a drastically different person than she pretends to be :)
Top middle, lifted high in the blue sky:
Everyone's favorite queen, ruler of Oasis, the child of the prophecy, Zaphira herself.

Ruby - Leo
I'm sure you can see that bodybuilding is one of her most loved activity. She has a cheerful and playful personality, and she's always up for any competition, or fight :)
Bottom middle, confused by the gloating glares:
Cornelia - Scorpio
She's a battle hardened veteran, a true fighter, who fought countless of deadly creatures and evil doers. Her adventures left quite a few marks on her, but she cares little about her appearance. The only thing that matters to her is to get stronger, and help anyone in need on her journeys.
Bottom right, running for her life:
Topaz - Cancer
She is kinda nervous all the time, has quite a few anxieties, but she's a kind soul, doing everything she can for others :)
Middle right, amazed by the insane amount of fun that could happen in the next few seconds:
Mercur and Mercury - Gemini
This time they are from the same egg :D That's right, Mercur and Mercury are twins, and because of that they have a very similar, playful, joyful and a little mischievous personality :)
Top right, being bored to death:
Amber - Capricorn
I'm sure you can tell only by looking at her face that she's not the woman of action :D She spends most of her time sleeping and doing absolutely nothing, while she looks at the world around her with boredom and contempt. But believe me, if something eventually manages to make her get up and act, she won't rest till it's finished :)
Top right, being a bit insecure and anxious:
Neptun - Pisces
Neptun feels that the world and the people around here are too harsh and cold. That there are too much violence and malice. Sadly, she doesn't have too much hope in her future. But all she needs is a caring touch and a few encouraging word to fill her sad heart with hope :)
Top right, encouraging her sister to be brave, and have some fun with the other:
Venus - Libra
She meditates a lot, and always tries to find balance in life. She's a kind and caring person, who'll be the first to help when someone is in need :)
And that would be all of them, I guess :) Hold on for a second... Is that Shen...?
This picture was a huge milestone for me in many aspect. But I think I was successful :) Although I feel there are things I could have done better. But it always works like this. Placing the characters was a very difficult task. This picture is the very first big group shot I ever made, and It was difficult to solve how I should give a sense of unity to a scattered group of characters. I thought it would be a good starting point if most characters would respond one way or another to a central event. And although some characters are not entirely part of the events (like Jade and Ivy), they're not completely separated because they react to each others reactions.
