Ugh...
So as a patreon supporter, which I just canceled before posting this, this last issue was the final straw for me liking this series.
I found this comic back in its tumblr, ask me, page days and it was cute. Just straight laced Duran with his wild girlfriend Blackbird. Nothing too deep but their characters were fun, had some decent chemistry as well as their own individual bits.
However this comic, not only made Blackbird completely toxic and took her from being fun to just awful, it made the whole series this weird, overly serious storyline for... little to no reason.
Then the 5th issue dropped.
First off, I hate the fact that, even though the past 4 issues were uploaded to patreon as they were completed, this issue was directly uploaded to a different pay site. So not only did I support on patreon, I would then have to drop more money to read it.
Then the fact that Duran gets his genitals multilated...
Like who was reading this comic to see that?
And to add on to the fact that the artist joked about him not growing them back...
It's not only in poor taste, it goes against what I liked about the series for some weird gore humor that the artist is into.
I'm not against throwing conflict into their story but going this route is so off-putting and mean spirited... I can't support it...
