the artist says that his characters are 18 years and older so they are 18 years and older. if they look younger to you then that is your problem. I'm sorry that the artists drawing style doesn't fit your personal view of what a fictional 18 year old anthro animal cartoon character should look like... but good news: if you really want them to look older then you probably got MS Paint or a similar program installed on your PC, so there's nothing stopping you from just adding a full beard and wrinkles yourself. have fun :-)

I think what really started this whole "controversy" thing is the fact that you mentioned it. I forget the term for this, but there's a thing where if you mention something, it's going to be the first thing people think about. Say a celebrity was trying to hide something, but it wasnt publically known they were hiding something. By inadvertently attempting to hide that thing, they made people interested in that thing they were trying to hide. Again I forget the actual term

Everything is up to the mod's discretion which is why certain comics with younger looking adult leads (such as artwork and comics by Cobalt) get tossed in cub, but then comics actually involving underage chars like Gumball and some of Bonk's work stay in the comic pages even though said character depicted is 13.

While that may be true, and even in many parts of the world the AOC is 16 (In the US it's an average of 16, going as high as 18 and as low as 14 in some outliers) by law you must still be 18 to be represented in sexual situations as the ones depicted in the person's comic series.

My only hang-up with cub is the characters aren't sexually developed so sexualizing them is creepy to me. This is a sexually developed *imaginary* teenager, so fair game in my book.

So I think I already commented this but I can't find it so whatever. Stokerbramwell owns Penny. He was on inkbunny and deleted his inkbunny account when he decided to try to commercialize Penny's likeness.

He has a LOT of fanart interactions with prolific cub artists. He has fanart from mostly cub artists. He commissions cub artists. There WAS a lot of cub Penny on E621, most of it is gone now, with only 1 cub tagged picture of Penny popping up. There WAS a lot of cub Penny on E621, but it seems like that got wiped.

Truth is, however, if the guy decided to drop his cub fetish and just put adult bodied people into humiliating juvenile situations (as we see here) then the comic in question doesn't deserve to be hounded as "Pedo pedo pedo pedo"

It's also not Stokerbramwell doing the art, it's JonasAfterDark. So any heat or criticism thrown at the artwork to get at Stokerbramwell for being into cubs at one point isn't going to hurt him because he didn't draw any of this.

People are not crazy for remembering that Penny was a cub character, but she isn't in this artwork.

I think that the school would of called her home saying that their daughter is heading home due to an incident but not explained why. I don't think it's a perfect reason but looking at it, it would make sense slightly, but it could be a dream of sorts though since she woke up at 08:03 and ran to school in under 20 minutes or so and left school at 08:21 so she would of been out of the house for roughly 40 minutes which now saying it makes the school calling the house far fetched unless everyone there is related which Im guessing and left early to get there soon after she left for school and after the call they started to prepare the surprise but weren't expecting her to be naked. Hey so I'm gonna say this now. I have canceled my pledges due to money related things and to avoid contracting COVID-19 I've made the decision to currently not seek employment until COVID-19 dies down. It's a matter of safety. The reason for the restriction on alcohol is because it is believed that the decision making skills of an 18 year old are dangerous enough without being in an altered state with fewer inhibitions. Keep in mind you can lay hands on a gun easily in the United States by age 18 whereas a place like Germany you will not be able to find one. There different risks in the different cultures. Now that I've played devil advocate to explain the mindset I do agree that it is silly. They should probably lower the drinking age or increase the draft age.

I don't think the end of neuroplasticity marks the moment you become good at making decisions. The reason why people came to the conclusion that 21 was adulthood was because most people observe to be of the age of 21 could be relied upon to make reasonable decisions. Maybe there were some slow ponies who didn't cross that line until 25 but there are also some that probably crossed it at 18. It's all about the bell curve that exists in pretty much anything about human behavior.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving still used the logic I stated. I don't really care that it was mad and I don't really care that it was Reagan. From their perspective they probably believe that alcohol makes you regress in mental capacity so they figured a 21 year old who was drunk would still probably have decision-making skills comparable to an 18 year old. The trouble is if you carry that math in a linear fashion that means an 18 year old is suddenly thinking like a 15 year old. The 15 year old is below the absolute minimum to drive in most States

The thing is in Germany we have a thing where you can drink beer and wine and other "low alk drinks" at age 16 and hard stuff at 18.

And funny thing if you have your car licence new usually at 18
(you can drive with an adult on your side with 17 or other vehicles at 16(15))

You are not allowed to drink and drive for at least 2 years or until you are 21 I think.

And yes, if you are older than that you can technically drink and drive legally up to 0.5 permille blod/alk concentration here.

So having 1-2 beers is fine to drive for most people if you want to.

There are some ifs in this but technically that is how it is.

I tend to think Germans have a better road system, they're more spread out, and they avoid a lot of the blind corners and uphill blindspots that American city planners fail to account for. When I visited Germany, it was extremely rare for me to find a building that didn't have an easement so that you could see traffic coming up to the corner of an intersection. In America, you'll often have bad blind corners around the sides and back of any business.

And as I said above... In Germany, you don't have a bunch of people walking around with 15 shot pistols. If two kids get drunk at 18 and start a fist fight, the likelihood either will pull a gun and blast the other "in fear of their life" is pretty low. The goal isn't only driving, but also give a younger person a chance to get used to life and death power (gun) before adding alcohol to the instability mixture.

When I was last in Germany I was rather impressed to find that you can legally buy sex there as well, all above board. I was working on a container ship a few years ago that made a stop in the port of Bremerhaven, and my shipmates convinced me to check out the red light district. Lets just say I had a very memorable time, Germany's quite the civilized country.

Calm down. Suspend your disbelief. If the writing is competent, any information that is necessary for understanding story events will be provided by the end of the comic. If it isn't, you'll have room to complain after the whole thing is actually published.

Looking back at the pages.

The first clue of "Dark Lord" was in Penny's dream so we'd have to see if that's actually in her house.

The other clues are very vague props laying around that could have easily been seen as costumes or just decoration. Closest hint to any magic is the broom sitting on the shelf before Penny actually shows there's magic.

Fine with magic being there but now it raises several questions on how that's factored into their world and why Penny is so casual with using it. If it's that common then there could be some narrative problems in the future.

But yeah, shouldn't require outside sources to know that the characters have magic and should have blended it in with the world and characters better if it's going to be so open in future pages. Or at least establish that the world is magical beforehand. Have to wait and see how it turns out cause now we'll have a sense of scale when it comes to things like "Can take down a Dark Lord but can't do anything about a cursed collar".

It's still a bad way to handle it imo but if the artist couldn't find a more natural way to introduce magic at least they made a self aware joke out of it.

"Just thought I'd give everyone a quick update, since activity has been so sparse here lately.

As you've all no doubt noticed, it's been a while since we've had an update. Rest assured the comic is not dead and we are going to resume production as soon as possible. Without going into too many details, there has been an awful lot going on in the personal life of our artist, Jonas, including a recent tragedy which some of you might have read about on Twitter. We are also gearing up for a major change in how our comics are produced, as we're shifting from relying purely on Jonas doing all the visual heavy lifting and moving into more of a team-based approach, which should hopefully make things easier for us all while increasing the speed of production

Just feels like this comic is really just dragging out the introduction of the character so as to stay within the "easy" part of introducing Penny's collar and maximize the ENF pull that Penny's creator is so into.

Once you get past introductions, now you need to push that story beyond where it's at and that's not as easy.

IMO, with as long as this comic has been out, we should know a LOT more about the origins of the collar by now. But instead we're continually stuck in the first chapter.

Yeah, except the difference is that's not how it works and that phrase is more of an excuse, especially to bad writers/artists that don't know how to pace a story correctly. I've seen their Patreon and they're still dragging this story even on that platform. The phrase "dragging the pages out for more subs" is clearly not what's going on here. At this point I'm just glad to see more updates recently. I had just about assumed the comic was done with how little was done and how frequently new pages dropped. The fact this was a poorly written chapter that wasted over 80 pages in over four years with nothing happening, besides dick teasing the audience with these pointless dream sequeneces and bad meta jokes, is not only bad it's fucking pathetic as a story writer. This was so badly paced and not worth looking through it. The only people into this crap are people who like getting their dicks twisted this badly or blind fans who like the quality of the art and the "story."
