Condom Tins came in a variety of types from simple and cheap to expensive and ornate. They preserved the condoms inside with I think an alcohol based fluid. So yeah, the cover could be a condom tin, but it could also be lube. I'd like to think with the time period of the comic that it's the condom tin though.

Well that's assuming you have the money to do so. I do my part with following her FA page, at least.

I'll say this much: Viktria does a great job with character designs, art, landscaping/layouts and generally making some of her characters feel alive. But, her writing ability? Not all that fantastic. Take 'New Dawn', 'The Prophecy' and 'Wishes' as examples.

"New Dawn": pretty heartwarming but quite the cliche-storm.

"Prophecy": Tonally confusing mess. I liked Shen and Zaphira (hope I'm spelling that right) as the cutie pies that they are, but the payoff was pretty bad. The character building was also a bit of a mess as well.

"Wishes": Cute-cliche but it still could of been better. A lot of build up just for the second chapter to just sputter out.

The last two comics in particular had smutt and tried to tell a story at the same time. A marriage of smutt + plot IS possible, but Vik is just not great at meshing those concepts into a cohesive storyline. The closest we got to that was 'Gift from a Water God' and that was a wordless sex romp.

It's too early to say which way 'Perfect Fit' is going to go, but I really, REALLY hope it doesn't become needlessly melodramatic down the line or putters out to the finish for the 'happy ending'.

They do a good job and their art is great, but why is it so hard to figure out where the eye is and where the eye brows and eye shadow separate? Its really hard for me to see that, might be my monitor but the eyes on the shark confuse the hell out of me, I cant even gauge the expressions, it almost looks like one glossy eye, but its an easy fix.

And here she is, the second character of the new erotic comic! :D

We wanted to make a cool hyena character for quite some time now, but we just couldn't find the right design and story for it. Until this story came across, of course :D So meet Nora, the coolest hyena gal far and wide! :D And now that I think of it, she isn't just our first hyena character, she might be the very first hyena I've ever properly drawn! It kinda makes me sad how little love these creatures got from me until nowâ€¦ But this changes now! :D

To be honest, Nora's design didn't change much since the first time she was planned. We wanted to make a type of girl we haven't made before. From the first moment we knew we want a bit tousled, mischievous, cheerful, extremely energetic (almost hyperactive) gal, with an unquestionably engaging and glamorous smile and personality :D You could say the glass is always half full for her ;)

And because she loves smiling, the only logical decision was to give her ABSOLUTELY HUGE AND RAZOR SHARP teeth! :D We really wanted to give her something that would shake up her design a bit, and a giant smile full of deadly teeth was definitely the right choice :D But we didn't want her smile to turn into a threatening (or edgy, or evil) grin, but how should we do that? Just like with Christopher, with her eyes. So we gave her big, happy, squinting eyes :) We though all of this and her personality would make her stand out from our previous characters.

I hope Nora's smile could break (or chomp) the ice on your hearts.

I think its because accessories and cloths and what not is easier to do, digi grade is cool and all but I think its because planter is much easier to go about adding clothing options and being recognizable, legs are half the character but that's just my take on it, plus reference images for poses are easier to translate onto the canvas or art piece.

Personally, I think pubes on furries are a bit stupid most of the time anyway. Why would you get longer and curlier hair specifically there and usually of a different colour to the surrounding fur.

Sexual maturity as previously mentioned aside, most people tend to have pubic hair that grows from a wisp at their lower stomach/abdomen down into the classic bush. That simple reason is why you see that sort of thing.

Your own tastes aside, some people are indifferent, and others prefer it because of the aforementioned musk build up (that's one of the reasons for pubic hair in general). The scent of arousal, even if you aren't consciously aware of it, is a strong motivator. A decent compromise, because I assume you take issue with hairs getting in your mouth, is muff management so only a patch above the labia remains. When you're going down on her, you'll still get that musk, but unless you're going 69 you won't have to worry much about hairs. Shaving down there sucks though, and waxing is essentially torture for YOUR benefit, not hers.

Exactly. Blend it in, make it look like it's actually part of the character instead of just an extra bit pasted on after to appease the pube-gods. Why would the fur suddenly turn bright yellow and extra curly? It throws off the look of the character entirely. That goes for hair as well. Hair looks ok as long as it's close to the colourscheme of the character. It's fairly basic colour theory. If you have a character that's a load of clashing colours, it's shit. They're a bunch of sandy/brown type colours, then use one of the base colours with a bit more or less contrast for extra hair/pubes. It matches and looks like it's supposed to be there instead of looking like a rainbow abomination.

So, here's my opinion regarding furry feet.

I am a plantigrade guy, because I think that digitigrade looks silly. There's zero wrong with the art quality. There just isn't much you can do to help the fidelity of wide angle establishing shot after establishing shot. If anything, I think the artist is enjoying a chance to do detailed backrounds and visual world building.

It's pretty clear with many of the shots in this comic that the artist is establishing atmosphere and world. I'm thinking these are characters that are intended to be used in more than one comic. There's tons of clues on time period, even the weapons of the bandits and the pants people are wearing. Running water is indeed a luxury.

Bugs are pretty high in protein and stuff. Plus, think about how much effort we put into regular agriculture. If we ate only insects, insect production would be scaled to match demand. In theory, insects are probably more economical on space as well. You can stack vivariums or whatever you grow them in, but good luck stacking fields of cows.

That's my usual go to, following the KISS rule - Keep it Simple, Stupid.
In the real world we have humans and apes who both evolved from a common ancestor way way back. With a little suspension of disbelief that doesn't even require breaking any laws of physics, for an anthro world it can just simply be expanded to all the anthro animals that also have a feral counterpart, to have evolved from a distant common ancestor.
I admit it's not clever or much thought put into it, but it's simple and it works.

On a sidenote, I wonder if he's going to ask the hyena about the scars she has.

Being a furry and not liking some fur is funny on its own still scales, feathers, smooth skin are included under furry as well.
But I kind of understand that some like fur short and some like it long.

At this point, this comic has become a little bit... predictable? I love zummengs writing, is not standard at all, but the setup she has is, way too similar always.

Let me guess.

So The shark is a buglar, gets stuff, then sells it, also a thug. Nora, just a clumsy woman that has some skills into getting stuff from others, but people dont really like her, however she still goes out of her way to show grattitude.

The people of the brothel are going to kick her out because of her stealing stuff from the cabins, and the shark will finally show some compassion.

And they go to travel stealing together.

First, this is not an adventure story, and second, shark guy has NEVER stated he is an adventurer, that's what Shady, the store guy, thinks he does and what Nora assumes he does, when all he has stated is that he "Travels". He uses as few words as possible, so, yes, i do imply he gets gems and jewelry from others. Probably not any random person, doesnt seem like a street buglar, which, in this story, are literally depicted as rats. As he states, the ONLY reason he defended Nora was because she was unnarmed when attacked (And because she is an unnarmed woman, maybe a respect thing).

He is more of a warrior than an adventurer. Pay attention to the details.

As is said on pg6, he is an adventurer, not a burglar or thug.
Yes he just found the treasure in the ground or in a dungeon or with goblins or encountered bandits.

His scars not all being from undead is highly irrelevant in the world as not all dangers are undead, they are a classic dungeon enemy and he is likely going to a crypt as he needs rope and holy oil to fight literally the undead(also i would consider that a shady place). Notice how he states he have fought necromancer, undead whale, wear wolfs. Not the typical thing you encounter as a thug on a regular basis.
Or pg19 as he recalls the gratefulness or a penniless family he helped.

The fact nobody cares about Nora says nothing of her personality outside the Co-worker being the typical this is work and I'm not your friend mentality of (if its not my job then i don't care). While Nora is the extremely outgoing and shares her thoughts and feelings even when both the women at the desk and shark guy not being interested.

The most likely interpretation that she knows where the special super lube is comes from the fact she works there, and hides because she knows she isn't supposed to do that . now if she will get caught/ punished by the boss we will see.

I totally get the vibe of him being a character like Guts from Berserk
but doing jobs like Geralt in the Witcher 3.

Zumm actually has drawn different body types in the past; she just has a type. Morphology aside, Nora, Zaphira and Shani have similar expressions and facial features, but in a line up they aren't exactly the same. However, big ol' eyes are definitely a commonality with almost all of her characters though.

The big eyes thing is actually a great gimmick. It's why Disney did it so much with their girls. A.) Circumvents uncanny valley. B.) Communicates emotion effectively. C.) We're hardwired to feel positive towards large eyes because they resemble children's eye ratio.

There was a whole big speel about facial feature ratios and the like when it came to that blue alien movie Avatar where they hired psychologists and focus group tested the fuck out of this stuff. Big eyes work magic. Effectively the MSG of horny art.

The line work is very very good. Not a single wasted stroke. I think what's bothering you is the line weight, or how thick the lines are. That would have been a conscious choice Zummeng made when starting the comic. Thinner linework requires more detail to translate forms, that means more time goes into drawing the comic. It was sarcasm on the Dr. Strange front. It's a porn comic, and it has 3 goals. 1.) Get someone off. 2.) Make characters likable enough people want more of them. 3.) leave something open for a sequel. There is no need at all for some zanny writing just so Zumm can go "What a twist!" like shyamalan and hope that it is treated a visionary.

Zumm isn't a good writer. A heartwarming writer who makes cute couples that are sweet and into each-other and all sure, but not a good writer. All their comics tend to have at least one glaring plot issue that makes either the plot or the characters fall apart on inspection, like the massive baths during a drought during the prophecy comic or the disneyesque and braindead ending to wishes 2 where "I was a thief but I'm good now" is somehow a good introduction instead of a one-way trip to the gallows. The only reason it doesn't just slot in to the typical "just turn off your brain and fap" space as most comics here is because Zumm tries really hard to have a serious plot and always fails for the sake of doing something sexy or making the resolution sweeter for the characters.

Huh, I might have a different opinion but you helped me get there. Zumm is great at dialogue and writing characters, but just can't do stories it seems. Thinking back and looking through all her other writing including the really dramatic one with her main character and girlfriend's character... the narrative and plot is terrible, the situations they get into are weird and strange, it feels artificial... but the characters really react naturally and speak like real characters would in those situations. So while Zumm isn't a BAD writer totally, she is a good Character writer while being a terrible narrative/plot builder.

Still going to read their things but I'm starting to give way less a heck about the story in their comics and just going for the quick fap more and more tbh.

I think it's a sign that we're comparing the work on such a level. There's a lower standard when it comes to the "Porn with Plot" arena. Zummeng is definitely using tropes, but tropes are tools. If you want to be guessing the direction of the plot till the last second there are ways you can play with tropes. However, the collective processing power of the internet can predict most every story that foreshadows or hints at its ending. Every plot has already been written as mass media grows to encompass our lives, there are even limits to what recombination can do. Randomly swinging the steering wheel in an attempt to avoid cliche or predictability isn't good writing either. Let's just enjoy our vanilla ice cream without attempting to add crazy toppings in an attempt to be novel and unique.

Yeeeah... no, no that's complete horse shit. Tropes might pop up time to time, but if you are using tropes as writing TOOLS you're a completely shit writer and I think I can say this seeing as I am making 12,000 a month off of my writing. If you are literally going "I want to include X trope" you're likely not making more than a few cents off a thousand words. And the whole "every plot has been done" thing is dumb, too. Sure, certainly, every GENRE has been written and there are stories that have similar beats, but often change things enough or are unique enough to huff your own intellectual farts and brush off something as "Oh haw haw, gufaw... you do know, aha haw, that, akshually, this is nothing but a revisionist tale upon Tolkeins work, why else would there be an anatagonist and protagonist? Hawww"

Like that shit is so stupid. The Expanse is unlike anything before it for example, Game of Thrones is a hugely unique work that focuses on the stories of day to day life of many characters blending character driven narrative together with a focal narrative as well. This would be like saying a Ford Mustang is just a Ford Model T because they have some of the same core principles. It's also why it's not an excuse for Zumm to be so lazy when she is actually a really talented dialogue/character writer. Things like Alfie, IRovedOut, Price For Freedom, and many other porn narratives are amazingly deep and well written.

The only quality issue with that is how thick the lines are, and that's only when you remove it from its context. In context, the thicker lines and simpler features stylistically reproduce the sense of the distant/small image being more 'blurred', without actually blurring it because that would look terrible in the style.

Two techniques for drawing distance, are to use darker lines on foreground objects, and to use less detail on background objects - these help portray distance to the user.

You will notice on several of the pages, Nora and other characters are drawn with minimal detail when far away, with slightly more detail when closer, and with great detail when up-close.

This is standard drawing technique, and it works well. If you want further knowledge on this, there are a lot of video and text tutorials, and books to help you out.

You keep zooming in to tiny parts of the page and expecting there to be more detail, but the artist has to maintain a minimum line width and reduce detail to keep it from being muddled out when viewed at the intended size. Do you read your comics by blowing up each individual panel to screen size?

Are you fucking seriously not getting it? If he/she was serious and "stupid", he/she would not be applying the logic to a medium irrelevant to the discussion which achieves nothing other than proving his/her own logic wrong. This was a textbook example of irony, repeating the same things but with changed details to draw parallels and make logical mistakes more apparent, it literally can't get more obvious than this.

I've noticed this is a common theme with artists who have any taste of success. They become complacent and get high on their own farts which ultimately means their work suffers and becomes lazier as a result. (Miles-DF being a prime example of prioritizing ego over passion).

Zummeng's earlier works looked far better compared to the half assed doodles she craps out nowadays. If you don't believe me, just go back and look at Gift from the Water God. The art in that is ten times better than her newer shit.

What paycheck? Don't you know how Patreon works?

Zummeng is one of the few people I know who does Patreon the "right" way. They don't hide how much they're making, and they're making the old work public as far as I understood their policy. They're currently standing at 862 patrons and EUR 4,020 per month which is perfectly fair for the level of work from one person doing all the writing, sketching, inking, typesetting, etc. It's a bit on the high side per page but not wildly off like some other furry artists - just about 2-3x what it costs to produce comics "industrially". Compare to artists like Meesh who make six figures a year doing less work.

If there's anything to complain about, it's the fact that Patreon works very poorly to spread the income over a wider viewership to bring the individual payer price down, so a relatively small number of people have to shoulder all the cost.
