The 'macro' tag is used to tag images that are not related to the art of the thread. Such images are mostly images which people use as reactions or similar. This tag allows the image posts to be hidden when viewing the thread (on the main post, you can click on the tags, which will hide/show posts which are tagged with the respected tag) (there is also the "Hide posts without an image" button, so you don't have to tag every post, regardless if it has an image or not). This tag is also used by Fap Mode to hide all text only posts and posts with images unrelated to the thread.
