Hah, these "epilogues" seem like the author walking back HARD after they presumably got heat for the initial ending. They really like to flirt with snuff/ego-death themes but don't want to deal with the social consequences of being known for that fetish so they coat it in the typical weak excuse of "actually it was implicitly/magically consensual". People who were horrified by the initial depiction won't be convinced, and people who are into corruption will be mad at the "reveal" that nobody was "actually" corrupted. It's the same kind of thing as kanashiipanda's work, where a bunch of corruption and cheating stuff is invalidated by the characters being "revealed" to be kinky swingers "all along". It doesn't change the initial bad taste for people who don't like it, and people who want the dark stuff will feel cheated.
