why is this comic so adorable? Theres no sexy or nudity and yet it feels so much better than a lot of other comics done by bigger name artist. I actually care about the characters and they seem pretty genuine! The artist did very well on this.

Maybe because big artists focus more on the artwork itself instead of the plot. Look here, the style has flaws, but the plot so far makes it far more superior to the "big-names". I think that in the era where good looking furry porn is so widely available, people tend to long for the plot more, cuz there is a deficiency of good ploted comics.

Actual contortionist here, I like that the artist seems to have a basic understanding of anatomy when it comes to the Puma doing flexy things. Or they used reference pics which is just as well.

The legs are too short. Yes hands are supposed to land mid thigh but forearms are like half the length from the hip to the knee. Not the best anatomy

I'm looking at it and the limb lengths all seem fine. It is just the mini-digigrade that throws it off.

Arms and legs are roughly the same length. Forearm to bicep roughly the same. Thigh to calf roughly the same. The only thing off in ratio to me, seems to be the feet. They should be larger. Beyond that, the only way to make the lengths better would be to get autistic and do reverse kinetics golden ratio. It's something else about the anatomy that people are getting hit by. I'm thinking it is uncanny valley. Maybe it would agree with people more if it was cartoon styled with emphasized features that are purposely out of proportion.

This comic is far more wholesome than I thought it would be. I'm all for slow burns, but usually it comes down to meandering. It's just a breath of fresh air when the slow burn is actually building to something, very organically to boot.

It's not perfect, especially in the visual department (though this is the artists first real take with an ongoing project so I won't be too harsh here), but it's nice to see something different and not some sparkle dog fursona, absurd scenario (unironically I mean) or some out of place rule 34.

It's what happens when the platform your posting your art on only allows soft core at best. (Page 183 in particular got a chuckle out of me because of how there was no transition frame from Sloan going down on Riley. An audible "thunk" came to mind, heh.)

I'll give the artist this much, they're trying pretty damn hard to keep it as "soft" as possible. It just feels like we were promised steak and potatoes, but only got the gristle and potato skins instead. Not bad per say, but not great either.

Yet, it does not apply in this case, since the change in viewpoint doesn't affect anything. There is no action, there are no two characters speaking at the same time in one panel... it is just a change in viewpoint.
Drawing the same thing the same way constantly is boring, both for the artist and for the reader. Something as simple as changing the viewpoint avoids that, just like it does in filmmaking, where it is also changed when it doesn't affect anything else.
You are aright that it should not be done in certain situations, both in films AND comics, but this is not one of those cases.

Yes there is. In panel 2-3 she's standing up, in panel 4 she sits down, except she was on the left of the desk and now the desk is on the left of her, so it looks the characters both stood up and swapped places for no reason between the panels.

Action doesn't mean "movement", it refers to "action scenes", as in fighting, jumping to avoid being crushed, etc. That doesn't happen here, only someone who was standing decides to sit down. It doesn't affect anything else because there is nothing else happening at the same time that we have to know where it comes from.

No, it doesn't. That rule makes it easier for the reader to follow a chain of dialogs or battle movements between several characters, so it is spatially comprehensible. What confusion can one simple movement, or none at all, can create for the reader? I really doubt that change in viewpoint made anyone think that Riley's mom somehow moved behind the door.
What, if suddenly the "camera" is in front of Riley's mom we assume Sloan dissapeared?
As I said before, presenting the exact same scene a hundred times makes something boring. In scenes like this one, changing viewpoints refreshes interest in what is happening, very literally showing a different side of the characters.
Because, as you should know, "The 180-degree rule enables the audience to visually connect with unseen movement happening around and behind the immediate subject and is particularly important in the narration of battle scenes". Literal quote from that wiki page. That is no battle scene, there are no sudden movements, there are no two characters talking at the same time in the same panel... that rule doesn't apply here. Simple as that.

In action scenes is where knowing where everything is without confusion is important, to which purpose the 180º rule was made. Changing the viewpoint in those moments puts a lot of strain on the spatial orientation of the viewer, who is obviosuly depends on what the film/comic shows to orient itself. If there is no need for that, there is also no need for that rule.

Unless I missed some detail, it would have been extremely weird if it had gone in the direction you were expecting. Both Riley's parents are female, as in they are (at least) lesbian. If they had reacted badly to their daughter bringing a girlfriend, it would have been the very definition of hypocresy.
