It's the same problem with a printer: if the halftone pattern doesn't align with the printer raster, you get a moire effect going on.

The only solution is to blur the shit out of the picture until the dots disappear, or print at such a high resolution that the printer raster is at least half or less of the halftone pattern pitch (printer has way more resolution than the image), and most consumer grade printers just can't do that.

This style REALLY suffers in digital. By changing my browser zoom it can look absolutely fine to complete stroke inducing garbage. Same with viewing on a phone, sometimes it looks fine, other times its un viewable.

Why would the thread need to be moved if the proposed options B or C were how it went?
