This works but if you ever do it make sure the stones are DRY. If there's water seeped into them it'll boil and explode badly.

About 80% true. The main issue is recognizing the type of rock. Sedimentary as a rule are dangerous. Monolithic and intrusive igneous rocks are safe because they already experienced high heat and they're not porous. Non-foliated metamorphic rocks are also a good safe bet.

But "rules of thumb are designed for the dumb." So yeah, stick to dry rocks unless you think you can recognize wild marble, granite, gabbro, syenite. Last two most are not rocks most are familiar with, so I some them up as salt and pepper rocks with obvious glassy crystals approximating dry rice. skarn mimmicks too many other stones and lots of it looks layered (layered is usually unsafe) so I just don't recommend skarn. I think fieldspar is decent. Flint and Chert are sedimentary despite their hardness and smooth appearance, do not use them.

Ratcha is originally from Russia. Because of the war with Ukraine, he and his family fled Russia and are on the move, trying to find a place to stay, while he tries to upload new work regularly.

This was his message last Oct/Nov
Message from Ratcha:
"There's that thing in Russia where they mobilize people and send them as cannon fodder to Ukraine. I've served in military 10 years ago and have a mobilization prescription (which legally binds me to participate in mobilization if it happens).

I've managed to leave the country and go on a vacation to Turkey the day after the mobilization was declared when the border security was not so strict.

Your support has helped me save enough money not only for this vacation that got me out of the harm's way, but also for an emergency fund large enough for us to stay here for quite some time.

I really want to THANK YOU for your support. It has literally saved my life.

We're currently looking for a place to rent and preparing papers for a residence permit. I have my drawing tablet with me, so I can continue drawing, but I don't have any traditional art materials. I'll see if I can buy any locally, but it seems that the art supply market is very poor here.

Its less rough imo and more of just a different stylized appearance, but who knows, there could be more to it as mentioned or even just the stresses of literally having to leave your home/country and everything you had there to save your life. I don't mean to sound callous. But Ratcha's art style doesn't have much to do with his life problems. Yes his situation sucks. But his characters have been repeatedly made shorter and dumber looking, and now their legs look like tube socks filled with jello. That was more of a conscious decision on his part, than one of necessity. Even the once bombshell mom has basically become something I can barely recognize anymore.

You'd be surprised what big real life events can do to you sometimes. Great examples, people who turn to faith (nothnx), people who quit their addictions, turn a new leaf, or even the opposite, they take up drugs or manage to turn into an alcoholic. You also have people who move and try to reinvent themselves. We'll never know for certain, but don't be so hasty to rule it out just because you don't like his art now. Ratcha's art had been steadily becoming more and more inconsistent over time way before the war. Compare the earlier chapters of Moving In with the newest stuff and you'll see what I'm talking about. Ratcha can do good stuff when he puts effort into it.

I'm no stranger to real life events and personal problems fucking up my life on a very regular basis. But I try to stay consistent in my own art at least. Ratcha's seems to change like the wind. Long before his current issues even. And the current iteration is the worst by far. I like that he makes the pages look like they're on paper. But I hate how he keeps making his characters toonier and toonier with time. One more step toward Teen Titans Go with each change.

Also, I've never fapped to his art. I just liked it, until I didn't anymore after he kept changing it.
