Ruby's another of Kadath's old characters he managed to ruin. You see the old pictures with her, she's a shortstacked but sexy girl. But then Kadath decided to take away this sexy side, and substitute it with the most annoying murder gremlin trope possible;

Now every time she appears is the same "joke" every time, and her whole personality was reduced to it. It's ironic for someone who retconned most of his main cast because he felt the 'incest fans' were forcing too much, he's doing the same with their new tropes

Yeah I agree there. The current Rivalry between Diamond and Nightshade is still partly about Pat though. Because Diamond clearly wants to fuck Pat, and writes incest fanfiction about him and Puzzle. Also, in some ways it feels like she may be the only one who remembers pre-retcon. That said, in the current timeline, Diamond and Nightshade hated each other from the day they met. In fact, Nightshade is the reason Diamond is called Diamond. She wanted to be called Dreamcast, and Nightshade mocked her for that name, and said her smol ass must be as hard as diamonds. And Diamond said diamonds were beautiful. And I guess Glitter probably made her stick with the name Diamond, because honestly it did sound better. And then Nightshade started dating Pat, the brother of Diamond's girlfriend. Which meant Nightshade was around her even more than at work. Nightshade seems naturally aggressive around other women with strong personalities like her own, while also being promiscuous with men. And Diamond likely had her eye on Pat too, with some crazy idea of creating a love triangle with Pat and Puzzle, and then settled for Sebastian on the rebound to get her guy fix.
