To play devil's advocate, I could be wrong, but I think these sisters were all candidates to be queen of this country at some point, but ever since this random prophecy spoken by a lunatic oracle revolving around two individuals with the right pelvic marks, bang one another to bring forth the rain, came along. Zaphira, a wee sweetheart with no backbone or skill to be the "proper ruler" Ivy expects from one, is automatically chosen to be this country's ruler. A ruler who just does what everyone tells her to, gives her basic needs, effectively sheltering her.
To add insult to injury, a former slave of all people, for also bearing the right pelvic symbol, becomes this country's King. So, of course, Ivy would be extremely bitter and quick to point out her frustrations because, from her perspective, this whole narrative is ridiculous. Imagine studying hard your whole life while having the judgment more suitable for a ruler, albeit a strict one, only for it to be taken away by some sex prophecy that a deranged asylum escapee spouted that everyone just believed, no questions asked. And the ones who ended up chosen by this nonsense, from Ivy's point of view, were the worst possible people to be this country's rulers, in her opinion.
Is she wrong for viciously antagonizing Zaphira the way she is, yes. Her "criticism" is outright hostile and ruins the mood of their bath. I get that Shen's presence as a former slave would be irritating to her, but Ivy isn't any better for not taking such a matter somewhere else. Does she have a point despite all this, yes.
It doesn't help that the other sisters are more than okay with being chummy with Shen, no harm or foul, despite his former status. Cornelia defending Zaphira is actually detrimental because, as Ivy was trying to say, the queen should have more backbone and stand up for herself, going as far as daring Zaphira to execute her for speaking so harshly against her "queen," who, so far, has never genuinely given Ivy any reason to respect her.
Also, it's pretty annoying how Zummeng utilizes her red, one-dimensional, meathead of a character to create a situation (suplexing Shen) that let's Zaphira back out of the drama instead of giving her any sort of meaningful growth because she's too sexy and precious compared to the mean, spiky hooded four eyes who is trying to make a point regardless of how much of an asshole she's being. But this is a porn comic, so everything I've written is null and void. I just felt like ranting, lel.
