That can't be right. Rick himself only made Traces of the Past as a way to mainly explain what a Trustbond was. Even then, it's still not very clear on how the world of In A New Age works for first time readers regardless if they read TotP. Then again, no one is going to read through 20+ year old lore of a series that predates even Housepets, so you either go in blind swallowing what this comic tells you, continue to ask questions, or just give up reading this story.

The story is fine. Much better than the last one he did. There's enough background exposition in the starting pages to get an idea of the world and characters without the need of terms being spelled out or added as footnotes. Looking at the other story set in this world I don't think I was very far off.
My first thought thought when they mentioned "trust bonding" was a type of mental bond that should be familiar to people who've read fantasy books before. I mean the name of the story should give you a decent amount of information. She's a witch, there was a war, in the aftermath people are uncomfortable with her. Expected interactions all around.
Now if we can get to some lesbian sex that would be peachy, thanks.

Honestly feels like the guy has slowly been loosing his mind over the last years and has turned pretty much everyone of his projects into escapist fantasies. Starting with him basically using A&H club and Housepets as a way to read the riot act on what he thought about his religious uppringning. Which has since spiraled out from there.

I mean, i remember him recently boasting how talking to AI Chatbots was great because it "allowed to finally experience the sensation of talking to real people". I don't know about you guys but that's not what i consider a sign of a healthy mind...

I have to agree, I got his animal android book because I was curious about it and you can see the slanted positions he takes and how it kind of taints the writing a good bit.

I like the nudity and I like the interesting concepts he can start with, but then things start to become an outlite for him and not in a good way.
