Did you ever think about how an artist being able to work at their own pace is actually a good thing for them, since it can help prevent burnout? Did you ever think that maybe some artists want to do more with their comics than just draw a single-page setup and a few pages of sex? Did you ever think about artists at all besides wanting them to work at your desired pace for your desired output even (and especially) if you're not paying them to do that?

Look, I do understand and even somewhat sympathize with the complaints about how comics can take forever to see finish now. (The fact that "Charisma Check" is still going after two years is actually kind of crazy.) But when artists take their time to produce work at a level like Meesh - and do it as individual artists instead of working with an entire team, as artists at major comic companies would be doing - the complaints get a little less sympathetic. And when the complaints center around people making money with their art, they get even less sympathetic. Look at the skill in the art in this comic, then you tell me how the hell to get a comic of this quality done in...well, let's say a month without either the artist working around the clock like a robot or the artist being part of a small team of artists.

Again: I get wanting this to come out faster or get to the sex quicker or whatever. I get that you have issues with the Patreon model. But the fact of the matter is that artists like Breedypupper, Meesh, Fluff-Kevlar, and others who produce visually high-quality comics aren't working TOGETHER to get those comics done. Either pay them enough to hire a team, pay them enough to make their bills an afterthought, or stop whining about how people sell access to their skills and time - because throwing a little bitchfit every time you get the tiniest bit annoyed about Patreon artists won't get you a goddamn thing you want unless you're trying to give yourself an ulcer.

What is the good amount of pages?
Can you mix up drama, character buildup, tension and actual sex scene in reasonable amount of pages?

Obviously recent renamon comics is absurd, but there are far older comics for hundreds of pages, but then they featured lore, action and arc where porn itself was an addition.

For this comic. I could at least see pages 36-38 being condenses into one, where protag drags the guy, each panel shows other room background, goes with rant over insecurities and such.
So, I'd assume with some optimizations you could squeeze it from 40 to 30?

If we were talking about teams of people who split the responsibility for the writing and the storyboarding and the pencilling and the inking and the coloring and the lettering, you'd have a decent point. I'm not unsympathetic to some of the issues people have with the Patreon model. (Some people do have these things called "physical disabilities", after all.) But when you look at the work of an artist who cranks out art that is consistently held up as high quality - e.g., Fluff-Kevlar - and people demand that artist work faster and faster to get that work out quicker and quicker, all I hear those people saying is "stop giving a shit about yourself, our fap time is more important than your life". The pacing exists to make more pages; a writer can cram more dialogue into fewer frames and get the same result. It's a comic not a movie.

The artist is rewarded for this low quality by the business model.

My brother under Eris (praised be her Chaos), I don't have any relationship to Patreon. I don't work there, I don't subscribe to anyone there, and I don't even have an account there. And as I've said, I do sympathize somewhat with the complaints about the pacing of comics under the Patreon model.

But unless you're actively serving as the full bankroll for an artist to do the work you want done at the pace you desire, complaining about the pace of a comic ain't gonna get you shit. Sure, MAYBE the pacing here sucks ass because OMG THEY COULD CUT MOST OF THE DIALOGUE AND JUST DO THE SEX or whatever. But you didn't write the script, stranger. They did. They're the writer, the editor, the artist, and the publisher - so until you pay enough money to serve one of the roles that isn't "the artist", you don't deserve to have your complaints fielded with complete deference to your wishes.

Whether I agree with your complaints is one thing. (And on some level, I do agree.) Whether I think your complaints should somehow be enforced upon Breedypupper or any other artist is a whole other ballgame, and you're not doing a great job of convincing me why should you win it.

Some guys don't have that long of a downtime. Young guys can go again in a reported average of 15 minutes. I knew a guy who claimed he could at least get it up again in 10. And staying hard for a few minutes isn't that uncommon after sex. It happens to me on occasion and I'm in my 40s. So if you have the motivation and a strong circulatory system, you could have a much shorter apparent refractory period. Comics tend to also gloss over (heh) the in between period because "nobody wants to see a couple cuddle" for several pages, so sometimes it'll go from nut to second wind, cutting out the in between.
