The signs he's in his 30s or 40s are that he might just be a bit of a loser. Still bouncing around jobs, no savings, and still looking for roommates.
(Besides, raising a kid ages you, and this guy might have had no idea he had one. Stress free life does wonders in preserving your manchildness.)

Not to mention that BK is Canadian? That means he could have been 17 years old as a first year in College. If nothing is depicted in the past aside from that photo, then there's hardly any concern for legal purposes.

Just saying, if you're investing hoping it to be a half-sibling story, it's probably not. I think this comic is about throwing a bone to the people who were pesting for Keith action in the mornings series. Doesn't really matter if he's the father or a step brother. But given the picture it doesn't look like this guy was a single woman kind of man back in the day. Her mom said he's far away which probably means he left her and moved away (or she moved away after they broke up). If he did meet someone soon after and got down to business, his son would be about her age, just like the Mornings duo are close in age.

To me it seems like someone may have seen the pages start to get posted publicly on Inkbunny or e621, and that was used as a cue to begin posting the latest pages here. Perhaps as a way of maximising the degree of interest on the thread by including people who would have only become aware of it from the public posts.

I've previously seen on streams BK having a sketch buffer of a page or two ahead etc, but so far all the latest pages anyone else has access to have been posted here.

The pages are released once a week like Mornings was. Though BK seems to have said that once the sequel to Mornings begins (and/or any other stories), he'd apparently be aiming to release both at the same time every week, which feels ambitious :o
