There's no point in complaining about disney. They're just a formulaic money making machine that won't pay artists to have common sense. The definition of slop is something that looks compelling on a passing glance and makes sense if you don't pause to think about it - get it done and move on. That's Hollywood.

I'm not defending Kadath in the sense of "OMG his art is SO GOOD, you guys are just MEAN". Kadath's art has plenty of problems. "He didn't think about antlers" is one of the problems that's so low on the list that I can't be fucked to care about it as much as, for example, his lazy faces.

The reason I bring up Disney in relation to this is that you assholes seem more than ready to cut Disney far more slack than you would ever cut Kadath. Disney is a multibillion dollar multimedia empire with more power and reach than most nation-state governments; Kadath is just one guy. But you're putting on him - one person - a burden to think of every last possible detail of how anthro characters would work within an equivalent to our modern world, and how they would work on an anatomical level, that you seemingly refuse to place on the shoulders of a collective of artists paid by one of the biggest companies in the world to handle details like that. And this is after Zootopia proved Disney could handle those details!

I admit that it's a bit dumb for Kadath to not figure out how to handle antlers in contexts like this. That said, acting like he has to learn the exact angle of the back and legs of an anthro character with a tail compared to an anthro without a tail and plan every image he draws around that specific knowledge to intricate and excruciating detail - to do something that FUCKING DISNEY doesn't do with all of its cartoons - is dumber. He's one guy whose art isn't even all that good, and you're trying to demand from him an attention to detail that you're only demanding because his art is disliked around here and that makes him an easy target. I don't see you making these same complaints about Fluff-Kevlar. Hey, do you think anthro characters with long tails might play volleyball differently than anthros with short tails or anthros without tails? Well, let's ask Jay Naylor - I'm sure he did all the calculations you're asking for before he drew a bunch of asses!

Criticize Kadath's art, sure. Mock him for not thinking of obvious stuff like the antlers thing.
