I was curious about how much a comic commission from an artist as popular and established as Ferretta would cost, so I checked the commission info and the prices are more than reasonable, what the hell?

art is fantastic too; unlike some other mainstream artists, Feretta kept honing her craft over the years. that's refreshing to see

I've seen artists charge over 2k for simple YCHs. Comics are so much more work comparatively and she charges a tenth of that on the low end. Feels almost a little criminal

I think the only downside (If you call it that) is pretty much every single commissioned comic page I've seen involves being apart of ferrettas comics world. I don't really ever see anything just involving one character or another. It almost exclusively takes place in the world they've made for their comics. Which ain't bad pre-say, but I don't think I'd ever commission them for that reason.

I don't see that being an issue at all seeing that all of this stuff(anyone's art) being made is all make believe. Unless someone is so picky and have invested so much time and effort into their own canon for their characters that they simply CANNOT fathom having them involved in someone else's world as a one-off, then they can just find other options.

oh, interesting. that is indeed a restriction I would find kind of bothersome as well. I would want to show my commission my own stories from a setting that seems mostly incompatible with Feretta's. though obviously it's no biggie for a one-off to transmigrate them
