I looked into them a bit, and I don't think they ever did. I could find quite a few of their deleted works but none of it is what I'd describe as "cub", just small ferals/Pokémon and the occasional slightly odd kink. The only related thing I could find is one piece they commissioned that's NSFW and implied to be cub, but the focus is also definitely on the abuse aspect here, their character being in a vulnerable position (by virtue of being underage) and abused by a person in a strong position of power over them.
That's not to say that they aren't into cub, though. They seem to have a little bit of an interest in it, and I wouldn't be surprised if they secretly drew some before. But I also get the impression that it really just is a little bit, probably more into the psychological aspects/vulnerability and SFW comfort stuff, and probably alienated by much of the content and the cub fandom as a whole.
Also, as an artist, they're in a dilemma:
They clearly like small and cute stuff, but the art communities in the west almost universally consider anything NSFW with small/cute characters "cub porn", even when the characters are 100% intended to be adults (just small creatures) and there's not even a remote indication they're anything but. You draw this, and before you know it, they'll call you a closet p3do because you're "clearly just trying to get away with drawing underage characters" or "trying to draw art for grooming" or whatever. Or they'll just side-eye you.
On the other hand, while the cub community embraces small and cute characters (duh), a lot of them are heavily into the age aspect which, if you just care about size or went through bad experiences in life, can be very alienating, not to mention things like some commenters being creepy. Also, you're gonna have to deal with being labeled as a cub artist which leads to the problem of see above, except now people will point out that you're on Inkbunny or something.
So as an artist that draws small and cute characters but only has a passing interest in cub, you're either gonna be stuck on Twitter being called a danger to kids, or stuck on Inkbunny/Baraag amidst a lot of stuff that might weird you out at best, or trigger your CPTSD at worst.
I think labbit's in that kind of position, so it's not surprising that they -used- to have a baraag (among other stuff) to see if it's more comfortable, got cold feet because it wasn't, and dipped out. I wouldn't expect them to publicly post cub art anytime soon.
