The people getting doxxed have their IB name tied to something else, email, etc attached to something RL and it let them get traced.

The problem almost always ends up being the consumer. For artists, it’s a nightmare. Many of us do want to offer other payment methods the issue is that users usually don’t want to learn about Bitcoin or any alternative systems.

Imagine how annoying it is from their perspective: to buy something, you suddenly have to learn something new and spend at least 40 to 60 minutes of your day figuring out and using a new payment method. Spoiler: nobody wants to do that.

I’m an artist, and I can say this confidently users want convenience. Even if you offer Bitcoin as an option, most of them won’t use it. And if you go exclusive with a single payment method, they just won’t buy. Your sales can easily drop by 50%.

As cool and flashy as crypt0 t0kens for furries might sound, the whole thing raises an obvious question. A currency only has value because people agree it does. So how exactly are these tokens supposed to be converted into anything real? At some point, a bank, exchange, or financial system has to accept that supposedly “dirty” furry money and turn it into something usable.

Why would anyone actually use your currency? If a currency isn’t widely used or easily converted, it dies. That’s the reality. Without credibility, a currency cannot exist.

And credibility isn’t something you just declare. It depends on who you are. How relevant are you? How many people trust you? How large is your network? Otherwise, what’s stopping it from being just another weak, easily manipulated coin?
