Normally, I'd would bring up the fact how predictable it is that the female protagonist, or any female character in a Kabier comic, would be willed into sex after being forced into it, but unlike the other circumstances, we don't know for certain the context in which Jade approached her sexual desires. In MBFWB, the GF was definitely against having sex with her boyfriend, and then her boyfriend 'willed' it into her by having his new pet dog rape her, and in Servants of the Serpent, inexplicably Gidget is just so yin to Amber's yang that her apparent asexuality is thrown away for typical straight sex (in a M/M comic, by the way, before Jason calls me 'entitled' and 'gay'). Not sure if bringing this up is going to make the thread a bit off-topic, but Kabier and Jasonafex, along with some other people, just recently added some weird animation on a Comic Thread on E621 that includes the Jade character, and it's a disasterpiece of one. Poor FPS, Poor penetration and syncing with the toys, and most of all, there is background of a pic of said character holding a card with the name 'Amber', in spite of the fact that she's named Jade in the canon (clearly confusing with Amber from SOTS). Not sure if it's Jason's doing, or Skydeertoons involvement that is the case, but it's a whole cornucopia of fail. Just thought I bring that up since it tangentially has something to do with the character from Double Trouble.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. To give Jason some slight credit, his most recent standalone animation with Nawka's Kwaza is actually quite solid. It doesn't reak of that tweening, the bouncing is only in places where necessary (the osprey's boobs and her goggles), and it actually feels like there's weight and rigidity to the bodies rather than looking like two masses of jello grinding up. Other than her knees still not bending properly (although that might have more to do with the perspective), it's one of the first Jasonafex animations in some time that has been actually decent and not overdone with his puppeteering madness.

I wouldn't say it at first glance it's disingenuous, but I will agree that it is entirely possible. It's just so emotionally and mentally draining to immediately assume the worst about everything. So while I'm on the internet looking at furry porn, I would like to assume the best. Because if I'm wrong, then It's not like the actions of a man and a female who draw anthropomorphic animals with dicks and tits can really effect me. Though it is entirely possible that the character was originally made for this comic, but then Kabier decided on a name change for her mid-way through the comic and now uses that name for her in any material that isn't the comic. There is always the possibility that it wasn't something negative and assuming the worst all the time is real draining.)

Also as a caviat, you have to understand that I mentioned the animation in the context of which it was submitted to E621, so there wasn't any mention of it being a teaser. It also got pooled in some weird elf comic too for some reason.

I responded to Jason encouraging other people to have their art taken down from e621 on twitter. I was saying him and Kabier can't handle criticism, quite a few people were, actually.
So Jason asked me for details on criticism I have on their comics, so I bought up servants of the serpent, how the overall art quality became less consistent, like Kabier was getting sick of working on it in the final stretch. I wasn't even mean about it and showed examples.
They both flipped the fuck out on me and accused me of harassment, forgetting my whole criticism, was that they can't handle criticism.

Kabier especially got quite irate with me, so I tried to apologize and said I wasn't trying to be hostile. Then they both accused me of back peddling.
Just the lack of self awareness and irony from it, it was really jarring and made me lose all respect for both of them.
I can see why you guys hate them now, I used to be a fan and a patreon supporter of both of them.

Pretty huge let down, they're digging their own graves.
Oddly enough too, Jason said he's okay with u18chan, he might even be reading this and know exactly who's making this comment.

When I originally brought up their animation that made them go DNP abut their character Jade being erroneously referred to as Amber, I thought that would be the last time that'd happen. You can not like them as a person and still find their art not bad. Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course and I would have to agree that the writing can be lackluster at times and the pacing can be really weird. Not to mention the artist themselves can be real fucking scummy but out of the endless garbage ocean of disgusting fetish art drawn on fucking MS paint I find it hard to call this art shitty. The line art is clean, the coloring and lighting is neat and can actually be pretty at times. The anatomy is consistent "most" of the time. Even the color choices are pretty good. To give credence to this comic as it stands right now, at least this character has HAD pages rationalizing the rape they experienced and how they like it, rather than the 'raping the bitch will solve the problem!' plot device reminiscent of MBFWB and Servants of the Serpent, for example. Although, I would think that there should've been considerably MORE pages to delve into that, rather than her already liking the experience within the same day.

It does seem strange that someone who 'presumably' just recently went on a Twitter rant about being raped or sexually assaulted would be so comfortable to write a character making a rationale for their own rape. It either makes you think the person has a fetish for rape, and the scenario they are complaining about got 'too' rapey, or that Kabier was never raped to begin with. Food for thought.

Again, I'd like to make my point from before that, while this story sort of led up to the protagonist predictably liking her rape experience, at least we can actually see the character justifying it themselves compared to previous comics of Kabier's where the females inexplicably are OK with the rape AS IT IS HAPPENING. Other than the weird subplot that alludes to their previous comic, this comic is almost page-for-page porn for porn's sake, which I think is fine because Kabier/Jasonafex are not very good at webbing together plot with porn. This was what I've been saying since the beginning of the comic. Kab's quality of her comic art going down has happened with SoTS, it'll certainly happen again with this one.
It's clear she doesn't have the motive/drive to keep comics going for as long as she plans them to where the later half of them feels rushed and looks cruddy. Not only does the art suffer, the plot tends to suffer with it.

Shit man, Sef's comic in comparison may feel drawn out like hell at this point, but she at LEAST bothers to keep the art quality consistent.
Kabs's comics on the other hand starts out neat looking, all nice and refined, then by the second half we get fatter lineart, sloppy coloring/shading, the highlights are shitty and terrible looking, some parts get uncolored (Remember those crystals from the previous page being completely uncolored? She didn't even bother to edit that later.) and it all looks rushed and the quality as a whole takes a dive 15ft underground. The thing is we ALL KNOW she can do better than this shit, but she doesn't put the effort in at the end.

Idk if I should trust it, however if she's willing to ACTUALLY improve her behavior and all that like she says she wants to, and also be consistent in keeping the quality of her work in check (Because lets all be honest, her comics losing quality after a certain point just to rush them out is pretty unprofessional, so I'm hoping she actually does go back through the lackluster pages and redo them so that they're her best, there's no reason to really get them out as fast as possible and sacrificing quality for quantity doing so) then it's at the very least a step in the right direction.

She redid page 41 some time ago apparently.
Tbh shading's still sorta sloppy, but comparing this to the older version, it's not as horrible as it was before. The fact she needed to remaster a page in her comic to begin with was ridiculous as you'd think she'd give her best but oh well, I'll take it over what it was before.
