<1519844> I started drawing while I was in middle school. (Tracing a lot of Falvie's stuff and Michele_Light's stuff) Once I was in highschool, I took about 4 years of different art classes. [These class were every day for about an hour]. Also, these classes were more of drawing sessions then actually learning anything. I screwed around most of the time playing games with friends. (I have pictures from this time but they are absolute crap compared to what I can do now.) Once I was in college, about 3 years ago, I actually majored in Computer Systems as a sysadmin. I've taken no art classes so far. In my case, I started from no background in art and had some study sessions in high school to what you see now. (Still needs a lot of work compared to other furry artists). I think most of my learning, in terms of coloring, came from redoing these comics. In terms of linework, that's done by just doing the same character over and over until you have a good framework that you just memorize. If you can't draw a wolf on its own, tracing is fine. If you can kinda get down what you are looking at, id recommend doing that over and over until it looks right. When I was learning how to draw bodies, I just did random quick gesture poses every day for a few weeks and that gave me a good grasp on how to do them. (I used design doll after that) If you are starting on an art tablet, you are already going to hit a giant learning curve because tablets are much harder than paper. If you are just trying to learn how to draw, I'd recommend starting on paper and touching up things with the tablet once transferred to the computer. I started with a monoprice 16inch no-display tablet and I alwase avoided using it because paper just felt better but I do know some people who still prefer no-display tablets over display ones because they learned everything on them. If you look at the "Lovage" comic I redid, you can see the progression from just a mouse to no-screen to a Huion GT-191 Tablet. (Around 300~500$) I know since you want to draw wolfs, you should probably look at Zaush's sketches to get a good understanding of the framework of anthro-wolfes. He has a good habit of posting his steps when he does his comics. I think there also a lot in his scraps. If you are drawing feral, your best bet is just to attempt to copy actual wolf pictures until you understand their frames. (After that you can add all the cool designs and coloring. That what I do when doing feral stuff. If you want to learn how to draw line fur, that just comes down to preference.
I like drawing anthro much more than I do feral because I have a lot more experience with it. I also hate drawing humans. (Not very interesting)
My favorite animal is probably a red panda and ,when I draw them, it is usually anthro characters that have red-panda markings with a fox tail.
In the long run, yes, I will make comics of my own but in the near future, most likely not. I've been doing digital art for only 10 months and attempting a comic of my own right now would probably look terrible. I'm kinda in the same boat with you when it comes to feral art but just a few steps ahead. I can draw any animal, but getting the posses down is very hard. (Kinda why I like redoing these comics.)
You can watch what I do on FA, but I only post once every few weeks. I have a lot of programming I do for my college while I do both the redoing of the comics and my own work. You can look at the beginning of my submission to see what I was doing 4 to 5 years ago.

Just know that learning art is most of the time learned by practice and not just naturally gifted. Practice makes perfect :)
