based on the comments under their original post about it, i think that the voters didnt understand exactly what they were voting for, due to it not being worded correctly.

The comic seems to be doing decent in pace. Considering it's on Patreon, he pretty much has an obligation to get 'er done.

But if he didn't word the options for the voting clearly the first time, he REALLY needs to work on that and prevent that later. That or Rukis' translator needs to do better at their job, whichever comes first.

Yeah, what is going on? I thought we were just getting a normal yiff comic, but then it turned into a gore fest, suffered from a pointless delay, and then got retconned into an incest story with no warning. What an embarrassing disaster this comic is shaping up to be!

Why can't Ruki just keep things focused on the main characters? This is the same unfocused, unorganized storytelling that killed Abby's Adventure. I know Ruki is normally better than this, so it's a shame to see what should be a relatively simple comic go up in flames like this.

It's not just this artist either. It's an unfortunate trend I'm starting to see a lot with various furry artists in which they play it safe by becoming ultra-reactionary to whatever their Patreon sponsors suggest. Like, all it takes is one person complaining, and suddenly the overcompensation goes through the roof as the artist desperately tries to course correct the story halfway through creating something, resulting in a ton of drama and a convoluted plot. This comic just looks to be another example of that. I honestly miss the days when artists just drew what they liked and cultivated their own audiences who shared their interests. Nowadays, everyone sells out to whatever trends they think will be popular, putting way too much focus on pleasing Patreon sponsors and the like, resulting in them changing their stuff to fit whatever some paywalled poll dictates. I know I'm going on a bit of a rant here, but this sort of stuff is really starting to frustrate me.

You do know that some of these people are making +$3000 a month, right? There's a reason they turn off the show feature on how much they are making. So with that said, do you really think that these people, whose only real talent/skill set revolved around their art, are going to endanger that by trying to be contrarian?

Its just like what happened with Forge for example. When patreon suddenly said 'No Incest', he swerved around with his pather incubus comic to make two very obvious brothers no longer brothers. The same as with Zaush and his hypnosis comics, they all quietly got changed to a non-hypnosis version so as not to upset the people who run patreon.

I'd support the artist on Patreon as well if it weren't for the fact that I'm boycotting that website due to its surveilant, censorship-loving staff. They literally spy on content creators and ban them over things they might be posting elsewhere on sites like Twitter, which is messed up and creepy. I really wish more artists would move over to alternatives like SubscribeStar so I could support them in good conscience.
