I've been on image boards for decades, and a lot of the behavior on here is typical whiny troll shit from kids or auties that are too poor or stingy to pay for art but demand artists draw specifically for their needs. This takes the form of things like "they should get a real job if they want money" but then these same people whine if the artists don't put out content they want because they're too busy working a day job to draw. It's pure entitlement. Honestly after decades of this, I wish folks would grow the fuck up and let artists be. You're not investing anything into their art, so you don't get a say. You're not having conversations with the artists, so you don't get to judge them as people. This goes not just for Kadath, but artists like Meesh or Viktria, and others that are just putting out comics and are getting torn to pieces on here for not meeting unreasonable expectations.
Also, it's really telling that some people on here are whining about Kad being "too political" because he tweets about the BLM protests, as if not wanting cops to kill black people is a bad thing. Calling him the leftist version of Naylor is ridiculous too, because Kadath's views seem to be in line with the general public's, if not most of the furry fandom. If anything, being alt-right is the outlier, and if you're anonymously complaining about being too leftist on here, that's probably because it's the only place you feel safe enough to spout your shitty views.
Getting back on track, Kadath doesn't seem to be a toxic person, and isn't known for bad business practices. He makes a living off his art, and puts a lot of it up for free, except for the comics, which I don't think were ever free, except for the Olivia ones. You can nitpick his art style if you want, but it's not like it does anything but make you feel better for criticizing someone else's perceived faults.
As for Nightshade and Patrick, they've clearly got a dynamic where Night wears the pants, while Pat is submissive but playful to her. I think Kadath is playing it up as a dom/sub thing, since Night is a dominatrix, or was. Maybe the male in a relationship being submissive grinds folks' gears, or maybe they just hate that Pat is fucking Night and not his sister Puzzle, who knows. Ultimately it's pointless to whine because clearly Kadath has determined he wants Pat and Night to be a couple, and it's been like that almost the entire time those characters have existed.
TL;DR Trolls find various reasons to vent their shitty views on artists that aren't toxic people and are just trying to get by making smut comics, and it's tiresome and you should find hobbies.
