If you like characters like Bugs Bunny, alone that doesn't make you a furry. If you like drawing anthropomorphic characters, alone that doesn't make you a furry. If you think adding cat ears/tails to a human character makes them cute, that alone does not make you a furry. If you interact with people in the furry community, that alone does not make you a furry any more than interacting with a gay person makes you gay. If you draw furry porn for money, that alone does not make you a furry. A dude's gotta eat. If you get horny to it, that does.
If you're sexually interested in animals/anthros, you're a furry. If you commission sexual art of an anthro character, you're a furry. If you subscribe to an artist's patreon that has sexual content of their furry characters, you are a furry. If you buy a fursuit, you're a furry. If you have a fursona, you're a furry. If you go to furcons alone, you're a furry. If you do puppy play or anything relating to animals sexually, you're a furry. If you roleplay as an anthro with other anthros and feel like you resonate with animals, that's DnD and borders the line. If all your friends are a furry, you may just be a furry [or a furry in denial]. Not saying you are a furry, but that's a sign you might be.
A furry is not just someone who likes anthropomorphic animals. Otherwise, every single kid who watched The Lion King would be a furry. Sure, many of them are today, but there are qualifiers that guarantee being a furry vs a normal person.
