Well, I can't speak for everyone obviously, but I can think of a multitude of reasons. For starters, like the other Anon posted, you can use them to make your own porn. Whether or not someone decides to share that porn is another matter. Yes, the unfun shithead mods/admins of several sites might take it down if it gets reported, but then again, twatter, fagaffinity, and e-sicks are not the only sites on the web. Some places just don't care, and are outside the scope of DMCA law, such as Russia. Besides, the widespread availability of proxies, VPNs, and temporary emails have pretty much made bans into a non-issue. Aside from that, people will usually share the pics amongst themselves outside the prying eyes of the furry public, Dicksword RP servers come to mind. I'm reminded of a quote by a former cop from a law book: "Cops can't arrest you if they can't find you." After all, artists can't DMCA you if they can't find out where the infringement is.
Other than that, you could use the models for posing as reference for drawings. You could also reverse engineer the models to learn how things work and gain knowledge that could be applied to other models, if you're a creator. You could also use the models as trade capital with others. Maybe, just maybe, someone will download and study the models, hone their skills, and then go on to create some great free models for the rest of the furry community to give something back since they got something in turn for free...now wouldn't THAT be something? =3
If you were to ask me personally about my reasons, it would be these: first and most important, I just want them. I don't feel like I should restrain myself due to any arbitrary outside limitations set by others. Regardless if these are laws, or feelings. I want it, so I'm going to take it, and that is my choice. If you feel the opposite way, you're free to try and stop me, and that will be your choice. Either way, whoever wins, it's all fair, in my mind. Secondly, I obtain and distribute content for the good of the community, such as the fine gentlefurs of this thread, and the furiendly folks on /rs/. I don't think culture and information should be rationed by the ability to pay, especially due to extenuating circumstances, such as a country's currency having less purchasing power than another's. Which leads us to my third reason: a serious criticism of intellectual property rights. I don't wanna bore you with an entire thesis about history, culture, capitalism, ethics, and technology development, but suffice to say, I'm fully in favor of abolishing IP. Last, but certainly not least: revenge. There's plenty of people in this fandom who deserve what's coming to them. Leaking their models and/or making porn of them, especially humiliating porn, of their characters and shoving it in their faces brings me pleasure that not even the greatest furry artist who ever lived possibly could. But I'm a friendly dog. I try to give everyone a chance. I'm not some psychopath. Sometimes people deserve forgiveness. Sometimes they don't. If you be nice to me, I'll be nice to you; but some people can't seem to grasp this simple concept, and then later you find out that they've been talking shit about you behind your back, even though you've been nothing but nice to them all this time. So fuck 'em, they deserve everything bad that happens to them.
Even if you don't agree, I hope you can at least now understand why it is I'm doing the things that I'm doing. Have yourself a fine day, Anon! =3
