Ricky is worse because he doesn't care about the consequences as long as he can stick his dick in it. He did ruin his landlord's relationship.

The son could just be a bratty bear so everyone dislikes him. We don't know what is going on, seems more like personal issues the son has with his dad, possibly a distant dad. On the second page the dad didn't even show up to greet his son after being going for so long, all he got was a note, not even a text from his dad so the son has a right to be pissed.

What if that's how Boomer got the black eye? He and Miles's dad bumped into one another earlier that day or something?

Also gotta keep in mind Miles just lost his job, so he might end up moving in with his parents, if he doesn't move in with Boomer when he can't afford his rent/bills, which really adds a layer to the 'you don't rely on them anymore' line.
