It's kind of more akin to a trampstamp tattoo STD, but I never took it to be something like HIV. HIV gets thrown around too often and it (similar to seeing methheads/crack addicts) makes me sick cause its something one somewhat chooses to do to themselves via their lifestyle, but what's worse about HIV is that you could get it even if your careful and do everything "right." A faithful wife could get it cause her husband was closeted and had risky sex with a guy.

Maybe he deserved it, but it's really unfair that her life is kind of ruined.

Anyway, point is, this isn't HIV nor is it similar. It's not like Pumadaddy who has that biohazard tattoo over his crotch. This is just sort of a commentary on the whole idea of STDs and, while perhaps not intended, I always viewed the tattoo as being how one feels about getting an STD versus what it really is.

It's like being branded even though most of them don't do much if you get tested early (as we can cure all bacterial ones, and some of the viral. Worse, we heavily condemn people with obvious Herpes despite the fact 90%+ of people have herpes, but are just asymptomatic.)

So, whether you take it as literal sort of fun (haha, branded with trampstamp cause you had unprotected sex) in which case theirs some...sexual intrigue for someone, or a commentary on the social anxiety of getting an STD, it doesn't change the fact that this isn't HIV nor is it suggested to be dangerous.


On a super unrelated note, I couldn't find on e621 the sleezimon comic where a guy goes to Sleezi's house to hook up with Sleezi, gets fucked by everyone in Sleezi's family and ends up with like...8 different tattoos down his arm. Anyone seen that one?
