Interesting that you put it like that, because my own experience is similar. Started off straight as an arrow, fapping only to solo female of lesbian pics because I couldn't stand dicks even in heterosexual scenes, then, since the furry lesbian community is pretty small, begrudgingly moved onto hetero couplings, then on to solo male pics, and finally, here I am on the gay furry comics board.

From what I understand from the hints and clues is that the "Artist" has lost all motivation in it because she cornered herself in a writers block on how to keep the story interesting.

So by taking these long hiatuses, she hopes that:

A: People will stop caring.
B: No one remembers the plot.

NOW THE BAD NEWS: No Hyenas, after the nine weeks of updates, will be going on hiatus. What does this mean? This means I am no longer working on No Hyenas, for free, in my own spare time. I can't afford it anymore - it has been too large of a financial burden at this point, and not enough support to cover the number of pages I've put out. As you guys know, 'No Hyenas' is a free comic I've been working on and posting in my galleries. As mentioned in the original journal ( http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5651683/ ) I've finally managed to put together a Support Pack for anyone that wants to support the comic and it's continuation.

What's all in it?

-The first ten pages Hyenaified, including the cover. Entirely nonsensical like page 02 in the gallery, but with way more Hyena Action!
- The original files of some of the 'No Hyenas' related sketches I've already posted to the gallery. Some of them are big. Some of them are small. But they're the size I drew them at, so if that's your thing, then ... Voila!
- The odd sketch/illustration or two extra. There's some sketches of Jeremy, the illustration of Brandon as seen above (with variations), and a drawing of Jeremy's Room.

Contains dicks, and is intended for adults!

I'll most likely end up uploading web size versions of some of the content in the pack, so if you're unable to support us with a purchase you'll probably end up seeing the images later on.

If you do have the means to support us, and choose to do so we'd certainly appreciate that! She's openly admitted she's not going to work on it any more in her spare time because it's not bringing in money. She created a support pack ($5), but has otherwise refused to accept money for work on the comic. And the support pack is no guarantee the comic will ever get finished. Even if 100 people buy the pack, she might still decides it's not enough money, and then she's up $500 without having to do any work. Her patreon is currently dedicated to her straight feral comic, because that's what the majority of her patrons voted for, and she prefers the monthly patreon setup to the by-update setup because getting people to pay by the update is "too easy to abuse."

She doesn't know how to manage her time and resources properly, and she's not transparent enough with WHY No Hyenas isn't bringing in any money for my liking to actually buy the support pack.

Most likely because I've been in those booths before and usually depending on the model its put money in get a picture.

Now if he was in those fancy ones that have a touch screen; we could argue that his cum activated the option of type of picture to be taken.

I hope sefeiren has the wisdom to release the drafts/uncoloureds furronika style, then make the community pay for each individual coloured page, so she can finally make her money off of it, while letting the community decide it's worth. Family Matters took YEARS to complete, just like NHNF is taking. People complain about pacing, but that's because they're taking it in one page at a time. Family Matters seemed brutally-paced when it was being released, and seems like a well-paced story in retrospect. I feel like NHNF will feel the same whenever it's finished.

The comic's dead. Sefeiren has stated that they've got no intention of continuing it while they're working on No Harm No Fowl-- all of the pages that they've done are currently posted and that's pretty much it. In their own words, No Hyena's doesn't make money, so they've opted not to waste time on it while No Fowl brings in money via its patreon.

Yeah it really bums me out, this comic is cute and at times very hot while the other is just weird. And no not because its "straight" because having sentient anthro and feral in the same world makes no sense...

Why people pay money for that over this makes no sense but hopefully when the artist finishes that comic they will at least finish this one for us someday...probably not but one can hope. I love this comic so much and want to see how it ends but weird bird porn makes the money...somehow.
