This story was weaker. The dreams were interesting, but the meeting was just wish fulfillment about magically defeating homophobic people.
The stuff about the bible was insane, too. The reality is that Christianity and Judaism are incompatible with homosexuality, and pretending that people should be pro-gay Christians is a really bad mindset.
>the talking with the children after the meeting
The wish fulfillment was so strong, the disbelief made part two absolutely unenjoyable to read.
>blond bowl cut
Do people above the age of ten have that? Part three also turned out the be wish fulfillment. This issue really is weak.

why are you so critical of this comic??? I mean sure if you want to find problems with it go ahead, but it's a really good comic so I don't see the point of picking it apart like you are.

What... the fuck? You don't have to be patronizing, and don't deny that telling me I used the wrong quotation mark is not patronizing. Why would you even say that? That has nothing to do with anything. Basically just a grammar nazi then.

And why would you tell me to stop? Stop what? Being a Christian? No thank you? Ummm. You don't know me lol.

I am an Atheist but I try to avoid shoving it on anyone apart of the really hateful ones.

But claiming that homosexuality and Abrahamist religion doesn't work together is totally wrong. Yeah - technically with the most orthodox sticking to a 3000 years old book written by people on drugs. But almost everything we do today collides with this hateful original version or the message. That's like saying advocating for women's voting rights and being a Jew or Christian won't work. It's just not true for anyone who follows an evolved message. One could argue of corrupted belief like Isis and those dickheads who shove women from the sidewalk in Jerusalem do but mostly you end up in jail if you follow the old testament.

I know so many religious people who don't give a shit about who people love. Including catholic priests who only are hold back to do marriage ceremonies for gay couples because they are not allowed and not because they don't believe it's the right thing to do.

There is even this nice Turkish restaurant that is likely the most welcoming establishment for gay people in my small town (not that I could think of a single one that isn't) and they are practicing Muslims.

The only issue I have with the comic (which became more of an illustrated short novel by now) is that the characters basically stopped being furries. It's like the writer didn't even mention this anymore. There were mentions of tanning (on fur? Yeah sure...), beards and body hair (would be a little weird to have none apart of very few certain species) in this issue. That is sad. It became a story by now.

btw:
You might call this story about the slight change of mind in Carter Allan bs but I saw such things happen multiple times. So many of those somewhat insecure or "scared" people drop their bad behavior once they see that being acceptive and unbiased won't lead to "suspicion" and assumptions of lack of manliness and such crap anymore. A lot of them drop it almost instantly and feel ashamed if they ever get in real touch with gay people up close and see that there is almost no difference to everyone else. Odd habits here and there maybe, some clichés fulfilled maybe but the only place the difference matters they never get so see anyways.
I hope you will see it one day. It sounds like you may live in a shitty place probably infested with the hateful kind of religious people. They will change or die of old age eventually. It gets harder and harder for such douches to pass the hate to their offspring.

>But claiming that homosexuality and Abrahamist religion doesn't work together is totally wrong.
It is banned in the torah, and the torah is THE basis of abrahamic/semitic religions.
>Yeah - technically with the most orthodox sticking to a 3000 years old book
>implying that it's possible to be abrahamic and not read the entire of your holy book
You're talking out of your ass. You don't know religion at all.
>thinking ISIS is a corrupted belief

>you end up in jail if you follow the old testament
Yes, because those laws that put people in jail for that are not abrahamic, i.e. secular.
>I know so many religious people who don't give a shit about who people love.
They're probably not very religious, or don't understand their own holy book.
If you read the torah, the new testament, and the quran, you will find that semites do not approve of homosexuality or zoophilia, things with are both very, very related to /gfur/ and /gc/. They also really agreed with stoning people to death, and the people who are still religious still believe in that.
But you've probably never read those things, which explains why you still hold the naive idea that religion and sexual freedom can coexist.
The only good world for gay people is a world where religion (or at least abrahamic religions) does not exist.

A; Christians at least aren't bound by the laws of the Torah or the OT in general; they're included due to the messianic prophecies. That's why Christians can eat shrimp and don't need to be circumcised.

B; The only references to homosexuality in the NT are very suspect, not due to authenticity but the historical realities. We're getting into interpretation at this point, but it's very likely NT references to homosexuality are actually references to particular forms of homosexual activity during the 1st century CE (e.g. unusual words being used to refer to the act, like "Arsenokoites" and "malakos"). These likely refer to the highly abusive same-sex relations common among the Romans and which were spreading into the Jewish populations at the time. Masters anally raping male slaves, as an example.

The people who are still religious still believe in stoning people to death???? You literally said that, don't deny that. That's absolutely insane... the people who still believe in that are called Religious Extremists... Not everyday normal religious people.

"But you've probably never read those things, which explains why you still hold the naive idea that religion and sexual freedom can coexist."

That's a very cruel and unfounded assumption you have there. Most if not all gay christians have done tons of searching and praying and reading of the whole Bible but specifically the parts that talk about homosexuality. It's a very hard journey that tests the faith of the believer and in the end will leave them either no longer a Christian, or believing in one of 2 sides. The first being that what the Bible is talking about when it talks about homosexuality isn't the same as loving committed homosexual relationships and is not condemning all homosexual relationships. Or that to be gay and Christian you have to be celibate for life. So it's really sad to accuse people who believe that people can be in gay relationships and be Christian of not knowing the Bible when in fact most of them know the Bible better than the people telling them their relationships are sin.

ummm did I say that? No I did not. YOU are the one making a No True Scotsman fallacy there. And in case you don't know what that fallacy is here's a link to explain it - http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/No_True_Scotsman

What I said was that the only people who still believe in stoning people to death are called Religious Extremists, not that the only "true religious people" are religious extremists. You're the one saying that religious people are only truly religious if they believe in stoning people to death, and you probably think that to be truly religious you have to follow every single rule in the Bible or holy book even though a ton of the rules set forth aren't for modern day people to follow. And we know they aren't for us to follow anymore because of a thing called context. Those rules shown in context are for specific people or groups during the time the rules were given.

I don't really understand what you're trying to do here either? Are you trying to attack Christianity/religion here? And why would you feel the need to do that?

I really must thank you for saying these (as well as the poster who brought up the "arsenokoites/malakos" point). It really is irksome being told that you're going to hell for supporting gays on one end, and being lumped in with the gay-bashers because of your faith on the other. I consider it imperative that faith's megaphone be forcibly wrested from the fundamentalists' hands lest they do irrevocable damage to faith's message. And this isn't limited to the gay issue. No, no, a lot of these fundies voice contempt for modern science, and they've been allowed to drown out sensible voices like Howard J. van Till or Kenneth Miller for far too long. Saint Augustine wrote a warning about "talking nonsense on these matters", but I'd probably bore you to death if I included the whole thing here.

What's wrong with wish-fulfillment in a story like this? What's wrong with someone having a change of heart after reviewing the evidence of their own experiences?

A train of thought is not set in stone, no matter what religion or other belief tries to tell you that it is. People can interpret the works of those religions however they want, so long as it doesn't affect or hurt those around them.

Most of the events were coming to a head in this chapter, in case you didn't read the 9 chapters before, and Paulie's last words in this chapter were about looking at the smaller things and being able to appreciate them.

Goddammit I keep feeding the trolls, but maybe trolls deserve love, in their own way.
