But moreso is the fact that Aaron used to be a lot better, and the general quality of his art has depreciated into caricature over time rather than the genuine article. He still needs to fix his monitor resolution, or get a new one. 4 or 5 years ago someone on e621 explained why his characters look so stretched out. It's because his resolution is stretched so what he thinks is perfect is actually stretched out and he's too ignorant to look at it and fix it.

They showed an edited image of one of his works with the proper resolution changes and his art actually looked amazing.

Maybe he's being cautious or stingy because he's paranoid about his work being upload to another site (even though he fully aware about it). However I due remember how he handle his Patreon and his MailingList in the past. Even if someone pays for his work it becomes a pain because he doesn't fully publish his work on his Patreon only the preview and that's it. He basically emails it to them from what I heard. He's trying to find some alternative method to show his fully image pack or comic because of the obvious answer. Which sometimes upset some of his followers (especially those who pay for it) because he keeps on showing previews on his Patrean but not the actual thing. He keeps holding out on it to the point that his fully work would take months or who knows how long till he finally emails them.
I don't know much about his old work the MailingList. In the past he quit his Patrean and went for a MailingList probably to avoid posting it on his public site so he could email his paid followers directly. But I don't know the full story because he quit the idea and went back to Patrean.
So I don't know if he's still using the same method as before. Like showing his previews at his Patrean and emails them directly to all his paid followers.

sadly, we must give up on any chance of seeing aaron's work here. The reason is that, even if people are willing to share, there's the issue of the watermark that says which patreon/buyer leaked it.
It takes LOT of work to edit the watermark out without ruining the picture and don't you think you can say "just send me the stuff, i'll edit it out!"
Do you think a random stranger on the internet will easily do that? What if they think you're lying and won't even share? What if they think that you'll do a poor job at editing the watermark and either ruin the picture or not do a proper job and have the patreon/buyer to still be identifiable and risk them losing access to the art?
Unless a person who is good at editing does it himself (buy the patreon and edit) we're never gonna see it.

I did a metadata check on a heap of the patreon packs, and it looks like he's deliberately set a unique identifier string in the EXIF UserComment section on every single image. You can see this by using any online metadata viewer, or using ACDSEE Ult 10 (the program Aaron seems to be using to add these identifier strings to the images according to aforementioned metadata). I've looked back through several years of packs and it looks like he's used several revisions of the same type of image processing software over that time, but the earliest examples were done using Photoshop CS' limited metadata entries. Exif Purge can currently scrub these identifiers from the images. I've yet to find a single other image in my (shamefully vast) library from another artist who has any form of deliberately set metadata in their submissions.

This metadata was still present during the period where he used visible secret watermarks and codes, so it's possible that he's always done it, but my library only goes back so far. I can't tell if he's still using visible identifiers, there are some strangely positioned imperfections in some of the comic pages, but I can't compare them to another source to check. Assuming he's given up on manually editing secret watermarks on every image and is relying on what is possibly a batch system, Exif Purge may be all that's needed to hide the identity of future leakers.

Jus sayin (but don't hold me to it, the autism behind the metadata may go deeper than face value, and if he moves to a different proprietary metadata set then we're up shit creek. I also have no way to decode the strings he's embedded and don't know what information he's hidden in them)

Yep, wipe the exif table and that identifier is gone. He does still seem to be using some hidden marks, though. There are some numbers hidden in the most recently leaked pages, and I wouldn't put it past him to use deliberate imperfections in his own sten matrix.

That said, the price is a touch ridiculous just to *see* his stuff. $35 a month. To see fucking art, and yet people still pay it. $35 a month nearly pays for all of Netflix ($9-16), Hulu ($6+), WoW ($13+), and FFXIV ($13+). 4 different services, nearly endless entertainment, or some extremely divisive furry porn.

Sorry if anyone thinks I'm being a dick for criticizing, but come the fuck on. There's a difference between asking fans for support and exploiting them for their money, and this feels like more of the latter when big companies (even fucking Blizzard!) doesn't charge nearly that much. I like his stuff, but nowhere enough to get me to pay that much. If it was $35 for a commission, I'd take him up on that offer though.

Apparently, his pay wall is working out well for him. While I don't like his art, I can't honestly claim that he shouldn't be getting whatever money he's getting, because obviously people are happy to pay.

People like you forget that it's the fans responsible for the prices an artist sets. The more popular you are, the more money you can ask for and as long as there's enough people who pay that amount, there's no reason why you should lower them.

Aaron makes no effort to improve at all, but it's working out for him really well. If you want to blame someone, don't blame him, blame his fans. He's just giving them what they want.

That's what they do. Danza's one artist that I know won't shut the hell up about it. I don't disagree with him, but it's annoying when like 10~15% of his tweets are about art prices. That said, he does draw individual scales and his quality is actually good, but I still think he's a touch overpriced, esp when he's charging like 4 digits. It just seems beyond insane to me to pay that much for some porn.
