So... I skimmed over the discussion and I'm puzzled as to why this even became a thing.
I mean, yes, I'd be pretty annoyed if someone leaked a comic I made and am selling on day 1, but I'd also understand that people will buy my comic if they really want to support me, and that a leaked copy is basically the argument of a lost sale due to piracy of games. You can't prove that the person that read the comic would even buy it in the first place.
As for why people feel the need shit talk the artists/comic (Note that shit talk != critique) when they are reading the artists comic for free boggles my mind.
Read the comic, if you like and want to support the artist, nice, go ahead, if you didn't like the comic, give your critiques and move on.
And if the artist can't take that criticism (Remember, criticism != shit talking) then yeah, the artist is a douche.
In this instance, a lot of folks seems to be overreacting, such is the internet I guess.
Just enjoy or not the work, pay if you want to support the artist, and let things be.
