I think the DON'T KINKSHAME thing is supposed to be humorous, considering the huge shift in mood in that panel, and the way the fox phrases it afterward.
Seems more like a joke at the expense of people who get super mad about that than any sort of "statement" about it.

And the lap-sitting thing is just the fox being a precocious fuckboy himself, humorousness intended.

All that said, Kimmykun's very semi-realistic down-to-earth style and manner does make people acting wacky a little more... odd. It still looks too much like a slice-of-life story to have characters acting like cartoons be easily accepted.

Something tells me this encounter wasn't planned. So... in response to all of this, yes it is possible but for this comic no.

The possible results were:

- The father tried to get his boyfriend to call him Daddy as well.
- Diapers (even though there's no fucking indication this will happen!)
- The son gets too girly (hence when he was skipping back to the bed.)
- The father manages to seduce the boyfriend causing his son to get super jealous.
- The mother walks in and witnesses this sexual interaction for the first time and they BOTH blame the boyfriend that he suggested this horrendous act.

Final Edit Update:

If this turns out that the "Psychologist" is a specialist for sexual abused cases and/or physical assaults; I want no part of this.

I thought the transition was pretty good. Not the greatest, can be seen as rushed, but I think it is Kimmy's way of improving from his last comic.
Which, if anyone can remember, was painstakingly long and drawn out drama of things we already know will happen.

The transition works because it goes from
"Maybe you should leave."
To
"Leave me alone"

We saw the cause of his interference and the results of it without any filler. We can add it up by ourselves of the mom's decision (the two did talk for hours about it, so the idea for divorce would have been brought up). It syncs.

I can still see why people can see it as rushed, I was a little surprised about it too. TBH I would have liked seeing the mom and bull talk it out a little more because it was interesting, but it works without getting so deep into the drama and dialogue.

I pity Jackie and how even after finding out his mother knew all he cared about was his perfect fake family life. I think the son is in denial over his role in what happened as a coping/defense mechanism.

He and his father really hurt his mother, and a foundation of his childhood was broken apart (his parent's marriage), and he played a major role in causing it.

If it is the boyfriend's fault, his father and himself are blameless; at least in his mind.

But the son was a shit to his mom. He is too immature to recognize that his actions had consequences that could cascade out and hurt other people (his mom in this case) then those he was directly interacting with (his father).

He was really a terrible person; but is potentially redeemable. If his father started the relationship, and he was not able to recognize how damaging it was to his mom, and he comes to grips with that, and starts meditating and reasoning on how his actions will affect others before acting, he could grow as a person and be redeemed.

If he was the one to pressure his father when he was young, and refused to care if what he wanted would hurt others, and kept it up without caring about his mom's feelings, and is now only angry cause something bad finally happened, he may be irredeemable.

If the father instigated the relationship, and was too self absorbed to pay attention to his wife, well, he is more then just a rapist and pedophile: he is an irredeemable sociopath.

If the son was the one instigating it, well, he's still a pedophile and rapist and shitty person; but he could just be emotionally stunted with no impulse control and might be able to be redeemed with a lot of work. Like years of hard work with a psychologist.

But either the father or the son is a worthless piece of shit.

And that could lead to a grand brawl at the end or some other major, violent, fight, as either the son or the father finally try to exact revenge on the boyfriend. Maybe the son tries to ruin the boyfriend's reputation and his work; maybe the father tries to kill the boyfriend? Who knows, but either might make sense narratively.

It makes me wonder whom the boyfriend will end up with? Maybe the Tiger, who obviously is having his own issues, and for whom a "Daddy Figure" might help him focus to address them. Though the boyfriend is having his own issues from the last relationship.

Will be fun to see!

Yeah, the purple sclera is kind of off-putting. But it's not just the tiger. The bull's sclera are yellow, and the fox's are orange. If you look at the therapist's eyes, his are grey. You'd be forgiven for missing that past the glasses, though.

It could just be a stylistic choice about how Kimmy wants to handle eye color in this comic. Maybe not the best choice, honestly, but whatever. It's not a deal-breaker for me.

I personally like the large colored irises with no visible sclera. I even find the purple eyes endearing, somehow. A majority of animals have very little to no visible sclera (which is actually usually not white) unless they're strained to look in a specific direction, since they're more likely to move their heads instead of their eyes. Small iris and visible white sclera is actually an almost exclusively human thing that we use to more easily tell where someone else is looking.
