it's not horrific to look at, but he's not improved in a very long time. its the same thing with husky92. they aren't bad to look at, and husky's style is arguably much more pleasing to look at, but neither artist improves. shame

Loving this comic's art, very cute and fun and this guy's backgrounds are really improving. I remember this guy back from when he did dragon comics. He'd have like one REALLY good background panel and then just vaguely cave-y colors, but so far it's all looking pretty good here.

its not so much entirely open mouths so much as it is repeated, boring expressions.

the artist uses the smarm brow like 50 percent of the time when giving a reaction shot. they seriously need to pick up some depth in their art.

i mean, in all honesty. i said it before, and i said it again: this artist has not improved noticeably a terribly long time. the expressions are always the same. the body types are all the same. the facial structures between species are exactly the same. take any two characters that are the same species and they're exactly the same. the artist doesn't know how to vary the cast/make them actually interesting beyond 'this is a shark. this is a bull. this is x/y/z.'

all the characters have the exact same speech patterns and very general personalities. it sounds nitpicky, but altogether this comic is exactly the same as every other comic this artist has done, but with different color patterns on the characters. it gets dull fast.

Actually, no, they're right.

A lot of people prefer to draw a shit-ton of material that's half botched up to maybe reducing their output and offering much better content.

Aaron is a major example of this.

And Fuze NEEDS to bloody work on properly representing species.

The fact that his bobcat looks exactly like the wolf character is bad. The fact they have a perma-cat-smile on their face is very generic and boring.

The fact that the backgrounds look like they were draw with the spraypaint tool on MSpaint is just sad.

The problem is that as soon as you point out that stuff you automatically have people white-knighting them or the artist going "IT'S MUH STYLE!"

In particular I agree in regards to the humanoid versions of the faces. They need more variety.

Differences in eye shapes, chin styles, ear shapes, jaws, etc. would make things more dynamic and interesting. I guess in anthros it's not as noticeable because they have vastly differing appearances, but it's more crucial when you do those silly hyoomans.
