What is missing from this story is that the gas is caus Ed by the rotting corpse from a Deep One. According to Cotton, the sequel will involve the lion guy branching off from the mine and corrupting the men of other villages for resources, ending with him powerbottoming his former village chief. This was said a year ago on twitter, but there's no news since so it's probably a scrapped project. Who knows.

I do recall a doujin similar to this, except it was based on snowboarding. The MC wanted a snowboard so he could win snowboarding contests to help his little brother. One of the guys overhears the MC and offers him money if he has sex with him. But it quickly spirals out of control when the MC realizes that sex is just way too awesome to give up (he pretty much got addicted to sex) and eventually forgets about his little brother. It's really tragic.

It's a bit of a shota doujin though, just a heads up.
