This is like a *good* Cyberklaw. Same rubber and hypnosis but "slaves" are allowed to have personality and the rubber and muscles don't look like tumors. Hell, some foreshortening like >>1451434 looks really neat.

Cyberklaw's comics had dulled me on those two things but this one feels surprisingly fresh, even if the dialog on some pages can get cluttered.

Definitely the keeping of personality has helped this comic immensely. I think the success of this comic comes from not just using basic mind-control but using more about coercion/ corruption.
When comics come out about mind-control it always seems to just be about suppressing the persons will, but if the suit/device doing this is removed they just act like their old selves, making it feel hollow.

This comic clearly shows Wildfire as being gay and annoyed at not getting Frostbite, and while the suit starts by mind-controlling him over time it seems to focus on convincing him to embrace a more perverse side. It took advantage of his love and turned it to lust, additionally using constant but lighter mind control to push that lust onto his new master. And so later it is more about a new but free-willed Wildfire who has changed from a closeted and more loving person to a perverse version of himself. Less mind-controlled, more converted but with a light backing of manipulation and control. You even get lines about the suit merging with him, and his communication indicating his admitted secret lust that now drive him. It feels like even if the suit came off he would still be changed, because he was in some way convinced/ corrupted into seeing perversion and lust inter-twinned with love.

I secretly want Frostbite to be "corrupted" so Wildfire can be with him. Not exactly ideal, but I doubt Wildfire will still be a hero when he gets out of the suit.

Isn't that what the last page is implying? 01 is still the same as he is a year into being so it should be safe to assume snowflake lost as I doubt they'd just leave the other there no matter who won the duel right? Hurry up and make this real dammit despite the art this is practically the most well written mindcontrol comic I've read.

Part of me does and doesn't, because getting it to work would be a fine line. This story is whether Wildfire can be "turned" or just controlled. It can't be him as some instant mindless subby hornball even when suit is gone, but it also wouldn't work if he goes back to normal too. There needs to be some lust kept, along a moral fight seen in him as to whether to be a perverse villain (which he feels he might prefer in order to get Frostbite).

I can see the appeal but the comic points to Frostbite as straight maybe (bi-curious). Trying to justify it being corruption over a blander mind-control is difficult here. He hasn't got the backing desire or attitude apparent to make it work (yet). It would just seem too abrupt.

I think the pages you refer to aren't in order. It appears on his webpage differently, and seems to suggest Wildfire was captured, and has been corrupted and manipulated for a year, without the heroes finding him. The fight scene (No.1451482) is actually the last page of the comic, and Wildfire's personality seems based on a conscious (if manipulated) choice to enjoy a perverted form of life.

This is so true,b it the story writing and the development of the characters are really good. All of this feels wrong to me, and I wish it would go onto a more happier ending, having Wlidfire break free and take back his life and all... but I know that won't happen.
