I used to have a lot of faith in tsaiwolf, but they ran a fundraiser for doing a comic like eight(?) years ago, and it got swept under the rug

then they hired a colorist, churned out thousands of selfsame commissions, and here we are, not even ten pages into a patreon funded project that never even got off the ground

like, it's not my art, and obviously power to them, but I expected this project to be dead in the water after page one, and not for a lack of productivity

This comic is not dead. Tsaiwolf made a journal on FA explaining that he's been burnt out and whatnot. As for him closing his patreon, he felt guilty for making people pay while not being able to retain a schedule. TL;DR, he plans on continuing the comic.
