It's very 80s indie art style, and with the count up, I was waiting for the breakup to happen... but it didn't.

That they're birdmen really upped the SF feel but it works.

I think the guy basically used them for sex while planning on robbing/raping/whatevering them, hence the knife/dagger/tessaract dildo he's got at the one bird's neck.
