The lips may have been a signature thing, but they look horrendous which is why I removed them. I get having something that is a artist does everytime they draw is really cool, but I would not draw those weird lips if I was drawing. Uni already has a very distinguishable art style, so there is no reason to add something unnecesary, he has good enough art skills to be identified other than the weird lips he added. Plus he doesn't even give lips to the other characters (maybe he did for the gorilla, I don't remember) so removing them from one characters is fine
