Glad the Zebra dude is taking a STEM major instead of a stupid humanities major. He clearly understands that humanities majors don't pay off the tuition-fees/knowledge-degree gap and STEM majors always set you up a great future in the workplace and shark-filled world that is the job market in America (Hence the characters in this comic use american expressions, live in a campus which is regular for tertiary students in the US, and in the 12th page at >>1678738 there is the precedence of skyscrapers which are always there to embellish the campuses in the US normally established in metropolitan regions I.E Chicago, Boston, NYC).
Say, for example, engineering degrees (obviously STEM) are the highest payed degrees in the US while an industrial arts degree (painfully Humanities) is the lowest payed degree in the US. And It's GREAT How the Zebra dude acknowledges this huge difference and takes the smarter route. Furthermore, I can prove the genius of the Zebra when stating how it must have taken advantage of the affirmative action system when applying to high-tier colleges.
Also, does this comic take place in The University of Iowa? As seen in the first page at >>1669620 we are introduced to the "HillCrest Dorm" which I believe to be a parody of the Hillcrest Hall Housing in U-IOWA, which leads me to the logic hypothesis of the skyscrapers in the 12th panel being the buildings from downtown Iowa City, the tallest one being The Chauncey Building at 71 meters (233 ft) high. And U-IOWA has one of the best Computer Science programs (Not necessarily good) of Iowa, which I believe is the major the Zebra is taking and Deer twink is teaching.
