I'd glad of it tbh. Last time Brokowski made a comic, readers got so worked up about the art/plot that he ended up making a spiteful, non-porn ending. (And I think he was in the right to do it.)

Previous comics were almost slapstick smut, if that is a thing. If anything, FIFO is giving Brokowski's ability to write grounded and entirely believable character drama, a chance to shine. And I'm loving it so far for that.

I think that the reason everyone is connecting more with this comic is balance. The first few were all over the place with art, concept, and story. But this one is on point with the correct balance to make story appealing to general audience.

FIFO is by far my favourite comic on the board right now, but in the hands of a lazier writer, I could easily see the story at this point devolve into a tired love triangle. Hopefully Brokowsky has more up his sleeve for the plot than who Logan ends up with.

Nah, this is just my guess, but I think Logan and Jake had a good thing going on, but Logan feels betrayed because Jake never told him he was married with children. But, as we see in the start of this chapter, it looks like Jake and his wife have some sort of agreement and Logan may have rushed the gun when he cussed out Jake without letting him explain himself.

Gage is nice and all, especially since he helped him get the job, but I get the feeling if there were some sheilas around he wouldn't be all over Logan.

This comic provides a unique flavor of likable characters, witty dialogue, and interesting setting. We're not following a bunch of stupid kids who are emotionally constipated, but adults who are just trying to get through the daily grind of blue collar work in the middle of nowhere. It's different, it isn't frustrating to sit through, the Australian dialect is fun to read. It's everything we didn't know we wanted until now.

What I like about this comic is that the reveals aren't withheld for the sake of drama. We could have easily had two more comics of this dude not knowing the deal with the other guy's family, but now this happens so casually, and now I'm not sure where it'll go.
It's unpredictable and avoids the typical trope of "if these people just talked, then there wouldn't be a problem".

I respectfully disagree, I don't think it's encouraging to describe life in such a way. Admittedly I can't say the comic is wrong about life being miserable and constantly working and all, that is really not what a depressed and confused teenager wants to know is coming his way.

These comics are based off Australians though, so maybe they prefer stuff like this? I wouldn't know.
