Alright i said i wasn't going to post here anymore but the leak shit has been eating away at me, I'll post once and go back to silence
We're like 3~4 pages away from the ending so at this point it's evident that the leak is real.
What happened is that i've had the whole comic sketched months in advance (i work ahead in case i get a busy month and can't work on the comic) and had been posting the sketched pages in a small server with a bunch of friends for feedback.
Now, this is what i understand happened, someone in that server, let's call him A, was being a cunt and posting either the sketched pages or a summary of what was going to happen on a different server. I don't know. A random person in that other server, let's call him B, who I don't even know of, nor know who he is, apparently had beef with A, and he leaked the summary to e621 pretending to be me just to get A in trouble.
I never addressed the leak anywhere to not bring attention to it because yeah, it spoils the ending. I find it hilarious that someone would spoil the plot of a fucking gay furry porn comic but oh well. I hope this stops speculation about the topic.

Love you guys, i'm still reading what gets posted here because it's honest unfiltered criticism. Special thanks to the anon that redlined the cover, and the guy that pointed out that i shouldn't have lied about miles' infidelity while listing everyone's character flaws. Points taken.

So, Suarez is nice to look at, sure, but his personality is what makes me not like him. Oh you're in for a treat. The dialogue can be a bit purple prosey at times and the art is not great (though the latest updates are updating the sprites and it's a substantial improvement) but it's really worth playing. The story, writing and characters feel very different from most furry VNs and the management gameplay and branching story makes the game very replayable. The biggest issue is the update schedule though, although the updates are really big they drop them very infrequently.

That's not it. Anime often creates completely bland and worthless characters and expects the viewers to view them as being interesting and desirable because the animators drew the boobies big. I could see Zoomer trying his best to empathize with Joe but ultimately wouldn't be able to because, as Joe might put it, "You 'n my situations are a little different, kid. You got a dad who's actually worth a damn." He'd need to fully consider the hypothetical scenario of Boomer not only being unaccepting of his sexual orientation/his boyfriend, but actively shunning him even as they speak words to each other and try to live through it in his own head. I think since these are things he throws together quick he has a bunch of pre-made structures for characters that he copy/pastes and details. Even when the arms are in different positions, their bodies are basically in the same exact pose and position.
I'm more interested in the characters than the art, but it does get a little bland.

Took the time to read everything from start to finish (can't believe it's been two and a half years already...)

I find the comic really enjoyable, it's certainly one of my favorites, it does really stand out from a sea of mediocrity.
I really like how the characters talk and behave like real people, how they deal with real life problems, and how they learn and grow. This makes you root for them and feel like you're not wasting your time reading the story, which is actually pretty tight and consistent, even compared to standards outside the furry world.
Also, the comedy is really good, the jokes are actually funny and don't get in the way of the rest, in general, humor isn't forced and Nanoff handles it way better compared to other artist that make it their whole shtick (besides, who else is gonna write actually funny internet jokes into their furry smut?)

There certainly is a difference between the art from early on and today, part of it is certainly due to Nanoff's skill, but some probably comes from switching the original full comic format to a 4 panel strip. This is probably more suited for tight scheduled posting required for platforms like Twitter and Patreon, but I miss a bit the longer narratives and the more dynamic panel layouts, but I can get that on his other comics, so *shrugs*

On the whole, I'm happy that I came across Nanoff and his comics, And I look forward to reading more of his stuff in the following years.

(since I know he reads this stuff...) Keep up the good work, Nanoff!

Yeah honestly, these guys are the most official "unofficial" couple ever. Miles rejecting Boomer is too unbelievable for me to entertain, tbh. He's shown to have wanted more since the beginning of the story. He asked him if he wanted to spend the night the first time they were together, he was broken up over finding out that Boomer was just using him to get back at an ex, and hell, wasn't Miles the one who asked Boomer to go on their titular date first? That boy has had it bad for that old man since day one.

Okay, maybe not day one exactly, but he's had strong feelings for a while already.

Hypothetically, if Boomer were to be rejected I'd imagine he'd gradually call Miles less and less, not wanting to spend time with a guy who he loves but won't love him back, making it clear he's only allowed to stay around because of sex. Boomer would probably internalize it and blow up on Joe for being an oversexed freak who doesn't have a relationship because he doesn't know how to show people he loves them for them and not just for their bodies. He'd become depressed like he was at the beginning of the story, torn up by the fact that he ended up entering a relationship with high expectations, only to realize too late that it was doomed from the start. Twice in a row, one after the other. I imagine he'd give up on being with anybody for a while. And he'd start to hate Miles like he hated Karen, while also being obsessive over all of it.

Nanoff has basically wrapped doing weekly comics. He closed his Patreon because he was financially stable again, and also said he stretched himself pretty thin doing his full-time job and this comic every single week, not to mention other projects like Minotaur Hotel.

He did say he will still occasionally put out work with Boomer, Milesand the gang, just no longer on a strict schedule. Like this piece from a few days ago.

So, this was in response to Joe bugging the guy after taking a shower.

I feel like... Joe's need to catfish individuals on hookup apps is thanks to his daddy issues. He isn't good enough for his old man because of his sexuality, essentially for a big part of who he is, so he lies about himself to get with guys because he knows he'll only appeal to a certain type of person. It's sad. He knows that Boomer is more desirable than he is, so he uses Boomer's picture to get what he wants, but this screenshot reveals that not only does he catfish to get hookups more easily, but he's even lying about the meaning behind these hookups in a way as well. The moment he gets with someone more than once he'll start wondering if there's something else beneath the surface. Like, if anybody wants him enough in that way then maybe he can take it a step further, all without being honest about his intentions to the other person, and maybe even to himself. Because, and this is just my interpretation, he's honest with his father, and just look at where doing everything he does for his dad gets him. Instantly rejected for being who he is. He isn't even allowed to call him dad.

Basically, I think Joe's lack of transparency with guys is due to dealing with unfair rejection in the past, both from his dad and other men.

I'm not saying I'd deal with Joe irl, nor do I agree with and condone what he does, but I sympathize with him. Maybe it's also because I feel like shit rn and I feel like I'm not good enough for people and that's what's getting me to sympathize with him more at the moment, but yeah.

After this strip I made a couple days ago ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55302728/ ) I got a lot of requests to draw more of Teo (the badger).
I do have plans with him in the future and I'll get to that at some point, but I wanted to draw something else today so I was rummaging through my reference pics folder and stumbled into a dude doing overhead triceps extensions nude and got some inspiration so... the other thing will have to wait.
I'm experimenting a bit with shading and lighting here, I should have started to use bounce lighting for depth a while ago but better late than never I guess. I figured the triceps should get some extra attention since he's flexing them for this exercise.

Easier said than done. Especially if you keep trying and running into straights who actually get offended by it. Can I say how much I love how this is almost a textbook example of putting the golden spiral on something, that actually it doesn't fit on.

For those proportions to actually be a golden spiral the red lines would have to line up with the same parts of the thick black line. heck none of the belly lines up with none of the spiral.

Hopefully they haven't done the other golden spiral sin of scaling the X and Y components by different factors. You know applying a random spiral and calling it the golden ratio.

You need to learn how to forgive people, man. He was shitty during those times, no one is denying that. But right now he's in the kind of terrible emotional state that makes people more receptive to advice and more malleable to change. We haven't seen Joe attempt to go into a redemption arc, of sorts yet. He's a stubborn guy who needed to go through a couple of falls until he hit rock bottom.
