The funny thing about wrestling, that pisses a lot of fans off when I point it out to them, is that wrestling is nothing more then soap operas for men. It's an hour long, it's several different story arcs running concurrently and it's always something incredibly ludicrous that happens, and it takes months for a resolution.

It is no secret that wrestling is a form of soap opera and rigged entertainment, you're not clever for pointing that out. But, by golly it requires a crazy amount of fitness and strength training, acrobatics and athleticism to do, It is still very much a sport in my eyes; these practitioners work and train very hard to do what they do.

Oh totally. Just because the matches are rigged doesn't mean a chair to the back of the head doesn't hurt. They're extremely athletic and go through a lot of training, but they're still just really buff, really bad actors who already know how the match will end long before they even get in the ring. i think it's more interesting if we assume that the wrestling is usually real within this comic's universe. maybe the bear thinks he's winning legitimately and doesn't know his coach is rigging his matches. but why couldn't the wolf have just talked to the bear before the fight? i think that could've completely avoided the impending tragedy. the bear's coach is the villain here, not the bear.

He's a good writer in the sense that he demonstrates a basic understanding when it comes to crafting a narrative. The storylines never feel forced and they're paced competently enough for short stories. Nothing groundbreaking, but nothing unenjoyable.

Lobbo on the other hand is very clearly writing as he draws. He doesn't have any grasp of pacing at all, and his characters are either one note or just uninteresting.

The possessed mask asked if Lupe was longing for 'someone', and included that among its promises; could be that Victor is under some form of mind control.

It could also be a stand-in, which would explain the difference in their dick sizes; an actor hired (or hypnotized) to play the part, perhaps... or depending on how much of the supernatural is in play, it could be a magical construct meant to look like Victor.

Hell, the whole thing could be an illusion; Lupe could be trapped in his own mind, with the mask pushing dreams into him of what he thinks is a perfect life. If that's the case, maybe the real Victor helps snap him out of it.

I'm very confused about what's going on in the middle of the comic. on page 18 he's blowing and fucking tiger daddy, then suddenly Victor is there in another setting on page 19, and now it's the past and it's Victors son's story on page 20? And who is the son talking to?

It's as if there should have been a couple more pages in between each of these ones. I can't help but feel he's rushing the comic to get it done, it's very jarring.

the bottom of page 2 starts a flashback, and it keeps moving forward toward the present with the exception of lupe's flashback showing what happened during the rematch on pages 28-31. the rematch happened between 18 and 19, page 19 isn't the past, but what happens the morning after the rematch and we switch to the son's pov. he's talking to wolferatu/lupe in the present. i agree that they should've made things like the time jumps clearer. to further confuse things someone here posted page 23 between pages 4 and 5

Lupe only mentioned that particular match being rigged, so victor may have thought only that one match was rigged. And there was no time for him to publicly apologize between finding out about the rigged match and the rematch (lupe challenged him the same night and it was already late), after that his career was over. The matches being rigged wasn't victor's doing or fault. He shouldn't be blamed for something he didn't do or know about. Lupe technically ruined his own career but it was really because of the situation their managers put them in, Lupe's career would've been over either way. If lupe told victor about the rigged match beforehand, I think all of this could've been avoided and they could've found a better solution. You expect victor to act based on what we know when he had no idea what was going on and seems fairly oblivious in general. To me Lupe being a rapist loses all the sympathy he had, and victor and his son are sympathetic.

It starts off fairly grounded, veers off into a completely random, supernatural climax; then we're doing a perspective shift that's followed by a sex battle, devolving the script to a simple anime sex power level battle royale. On one hand, it's great that we'll be getting porn out of this.
