Actual stretch advice: Yoga with Adriene's 30 day challenge on youtube is an accessible way to explore some basic flexibility, learn a bit about your body, and probably come out a little healthier for it at the end. It's good stuff.

Heels on the floor sure, but head down with back, neck, and legs strait is a hatha yoga thing, then you flex sholders and hips and come up on the balls of your feet into a plank.

Then I like to go down, push up into arched back, then pivot my hips and straiten into the original pose, then I could move into sideways poses from that, or use another movement to standings.

I've seen a group of 15 be able to get into a reverse crab themselves after a new weeks of warm up and basics, it doesn't seem or feel like a big deal.

People do different things with these kinds of poses and the transitions in and out of them.
